We pick up our lunches on the way over and find a spot to sit overlooking the expansive farm and its accompanying river. Once we're done eating, we explore the different areas of plants and the quaint general store. Staff is on hand to answer any questions and assist as need be. It's a beautiful day out enjoying a unique hidden gem on Long Island. I'd never know it was even there had it not been for my daughter bringing me.

This being said, as I was entering one of their store sheds, I noticed a painting that is blatantly racist and disgusting. There's honestly no explaining this, as it is just displayed for everyone to see. I'm very disappointed to see this type of racism still so brazenly in 2026. Probably won't be coming back any time soon.

It's got…read moreeverything a backyard farmer could need...from beekeeping equipment to chicken feed to pretty clay pots for flowers. It is a lot more agriculturally based than the agway in Southold - which is a bit more suburban (more lawn decor than chicken feed kind of stuff). It's probably got everything a real farmer needs. Service is pretty good. If what you need isn't in the show room then it might be in the backroom. Just ask. I needed a small pitch fork, which wasn't on display. I asked and low and behold they had one! Prices are a tad high but they have an unadvertised senior citizen discount once a week. I think it's Tuesday! Could be Thursday though. Can not remember. But you have to ask and let them know you are a senior...they don't seem to like to assume if you are a senior or not.

Thank goodness a friend recommended this place to us because they saved our Christmas! We found such a gorgeous curation of ornaments - really unique and fabulous. Prices weren't exactly a bargain but they really deserve to make money based on how beautiful they make the store and how they pull together a great selection of items you don't see anywhere else. It was super busy the few times we were there but staff was super helpful and they took my ornaments behind the register, packed them up and whisked me to register to quickly check me out when I was finished. I've been back a few times since and salespeople are always extremely helpful and nice, giving great advice on how to style something or suggesting items that I may have overlooked. Grounds are exceptionally beautiful and it's a great stop to make if you need a last minute gift. They have greeting cards and their signature bag, tissue paper and ribbon make for a perfect presentation for any occasion!

I use them for the aquariums. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I will buy fish and put them in a food-safe bucket and bring them home on the train rather than buy from the "chain" that is across the street from my apartment. I have been searching for driftwood for my 55 gallon that's been largely empty for a year. I have searched all the chains, online, and was unable to find decent wood that was large enough for my tank. I about to try using oak rods from Home Depot and thought I should at least ask about it at Brian's (I hadn't noticed it before). It turns out they had a huge selection of the most beautiful aquarium driftwood I've ever seen. I bought two big pieces, one Malaysian and one spider wood for contrast, and will get more if I can fit it. The selection was so good I wish I could take more.

I've lived in Riverhead for 9 years but never realized that the nursery is open to the public. In addition to his inventory of trees, shrubs and bushes, there is a wonderful selection of perennial and annual flowers to choose from as well as fine decorative pottery on display. Prices are more than fair too. All in all, it was a terrific experience and would certainly recommend Warner's Nursery to everyone!
