The place was spotless and clean and staff was very conscientious. Hubby and I shared the 'Hummus You Later' then got the 'Shawarmageddon' - with lamb and chicken kabobs. It was amazing! It's fun that their menu has a play on words - so creative. Everything was top notch! Hubby got some tea - it was served in a cool gold pouring pot. The menu has English as well as French so it was easy to read. People were using hookahs outside - none inside. I guess it went with the whole vibe of the place. Haha

An absolute delight to eat here - and would absolutely return to Brussels just to eat here! I had…read morenever had Iraqi food before so I didn't know what to expect. My pallet has never been so pleased!! We got three appetizers: the halloumi, the hummus, and this spiced minced beef thing (I have no idea what it's called). All three - delicious! For dinner we got the mixed grill. Yummo! I didn't love the beef on here, but it didn't matter - my husband did! And we were sharing so it was great. The tomato sauce that came with the mixed grill - stupid good. We had our waiter recommend a bottle of wine, we got a red, it went great with our food. After our dinner we got the Iraqi tea and hookah. Along with the tea they brought us this yogurt dessert with pistachios and I could have slapped someone it was so good. The hookah was also quite good. My husband ordered another tea and they brought me one - on the house! So, that covers the food and drinks. The service? Unreal! Our waitress (also co-owner) was so wonderful. She made us smile and helped make recommendations on the menu. She really helped to take our meal from great to delightfulsupergreat. We wanted to sit outside, so she set us up at a great table. And when I got cold she brought me a blanket! To learn that this restaurant was recently named one of the top 10 hills restaurants in the world doesn't surprise me in the least. This is a must visit in Brussels and if we lived in the city we would quickly become regulars here.

Okay, maybe not all of the pubs in Brussels are top notch, but then again this one is a sports bar,…read moreand I've never really been a particularly big fan of sports bars, no doubt because, well, you generally get a certain type of clientelle. On the other hand, this didn't feel like the typical sports bar that you get in Australia, probably because it isn't full of pokie machines as well (they tend to be placed elsewhere, which I certainly prefer). Anyway, it wasn't too bad, but as I've suggested, there are much better pubs around.
