Stef understands how the dating game is played!…read more In today's day and age I am tired of having to play games and not understand why I am not getting call backs. Stef is great at getting not only attractive, non-crazy, reliable, educated people in her service, but she also can get you feedback that is invaluable. She does care and does not want to take on people that have unrealistic demands, nor people that are not going to be seriously looking for a relationship. Comparing her to some of the other services out there, she is reasonably priced and doesn't promise what she can't provide. I'd recommend you contact her because you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

"You can't always get what you want but sometimes you just might find that you get what you need"…read moreRolling Stones In my particular case a few years ago you can add that I was not always getting what I wasn't but looking in the right places. So through a friend, I made an appointment with Stef who was kind of blunt, direct and to the point and she told me a bunch of things I needed to do and I followed them. Using the info about myself that I gave her I was able to find more ways to navigate the dating jungle especially where I had been going online and what I had been posting myself on online dating sites. Unlike other people she offers consultations in this area like how to post on your dating app in order to meet someone compatible and not just because they look good or whatever metrics I was using that was not working . Since she showed me which pictures I should use online, what apps and dating sites are the ones that would be best for me, I think that was pretty unique and that is why I dated someone for a long time about 2 years ago. I feel that she honestly cared about having you meet someone.

I haven't signed into Yelp for a few years. Today I noticed a had a review I wrote in 2013 but…read morenever hit the "post review button." Better late than never: I held off on writing a review of Matchmakers of Chicago (MOC, also known as Elan Dating Services and Sterling Register) because I was so angry about what I feel is a scam and I felt I could only write a review full of emotion instead of one grounded in the facts of what happened. So, I've taken two years to cool down and wait for them to come through with an apology and a refund. I've waited and received neither. And lest you think I've forgotten details of what happened I'm writing this review with the email and print correspondence, written contract and notes taken from phone calls with them during the time I used their services. They put on a charming in person presentation about how much care they put into choosing the people they matched their clients with. When I asked how these men were selected they alluded to lists of eligible bachelors who used to pay for this service or are currently paying for this service. I paid over $1,000 of my hard earned money (which was never refunded). Here are the snippets from emails I sent in after my two problematic dates: ------------------------------------ Feedback I emailed MOC after date #1 on 5-27-11 "--MY DATE-- was 15 minutes late but was nice, polite and good looking. However, this cannot count as one of my matches because they are supposed to be based on my criteria. He was in the seminary for over 10 years and is now a VERY Catholic man: no sex unless it's in marriage and for the purpose of having a baby, anti-gay, etc. There is no way humanly possible that anyone who had even glanced at my file might think that could be an acceptable match. Its a clear fundamental difference in lifestyle and values. I told --MOC EMPLOYEE 1-- outright during our interview that I had just split from an evangelical Christian due to religious difference among other things. This should not be news to her or the rest of the team. Please forward this to --MOC EMPLOYEE 1 & 2--. Also, is my 2nd date still on for next Wednesday? And is it possible to make sure he's not a bible banging Catholic? Or any of the other deal breakers written on my intake form?" ------------------------------------ Feedback I emailed MOC after date #2 on 6-1-11 "My date didn't know that I was matched with him through a professional, high end matchmaking service. He was under the impression I was there like him, for a "free date to meet someone else in the database who had gone a mixer at some point over the years." He also said, with surprise and concern, "why would they pair you up with a free-loader like me and not someone else looking for a love match?" ------------------------------------ MOC sent me the phone numbers of two of their current female clients for me to call and ask about their experiences. I called one of the women only after I began to have problems with the service. She told me of similar experiences and the low caliber of the men she was matched with. I feel gullible for believing their pitch and dumb for not having called one of the other female clients earlier. I should have more aggressively pursued getting a refund. Don't make the same mistakes I made.

I had such a blast! I always wanted to do a paint and sip, but always was nervous about my painting…read moreskills. I did the Moonlight Flight class which was so fun! The teacher, Alexander, was so kind and very thorough in his teaching, which made it easy for me to follow along :) Any questions I had or anytime I needed suggestions, he was immediately there to help. I also appreciated his efforts in letting everyone express themselves and not having to follow the class exactly, but more about having fun! I thought everyone working was kind (big thanks to the owner as well!!) and I am definitely coming back to paint more! This location is really spacious with different rooms for different experiences, with lots of great drink options (including THC/CBD options for non-drinkers like me who still like to have some fun). I thought the price was really fair considering you get to take a beautiful painting home after being taught in a prompt two hours (wish it could've been longer since I had so much fun). Definitely look for glow in the dark classes too, that was definitely a really cute touch!!

It was so much fun seeing everyone's creativity come to life. A huge shoutout to Anki and Saurin for making the experience even better! They were incredibly patient, explained every step of the process, and made sure we all felt comfortable and had fun the entire time. The customer service was truly 10000/10. If you're looking for a unique, creative, and relaxing activity with friends or family, this is definitely the place to go. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful venue in the Northwest burbs…read more The staff and servers here are wonderful to work with. Bar tenders and servers are helpful, fast and friendly. When the room is set up for an event, especially in the evening, it is beautiful. The only challenge here is the parking. The small lot doesn't hold enough cars and parking along the dark side streets can be challenging and unsafe to walk, due to uneven sidewalk surfaces. I cannot imagine making this walk when it is icy or slippery out. Valet parking here can be an issue too with long lines to wait for service. I wish there was a better solution to parking. The food here is pretty tasty, as banquet places go. Prices are reasonable too.

The food was great, I believe we had the chicken Francese with potato and broccoli, a to-share big plate of beef brisket and another to-share plate of pasta. There was so much food, I couldn't even finish my personal plate. There was also bread at the beginning plus a plate of salad with a choice of Italian or ranch dressing. There was also a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a swirl of chocolate syrup on top for dessert. I would've given it five stars for all these. However, I chose 3 stars because of their sound system. Not only did the mic went on and off, the sound when it was on was screeching and was truly painful to the ears. If that can be fixed, then 2 thumbs up!

We were interested in the venue for our daughter's quinceañera, but it was extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone, let alone receive a callback. The only positive part of our experience was Raymundo, who was setting up the tables and buffet. He noticed us walking around and looking at the rooms, so he took the time to show us around and answer our questions. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. It is extremely disappointing that a venue this beautiful does not seem to prioritize customer service or potential clients.
