Filipino drive thru food in Kearney, MO? Crazy right? Well, Kearney has grown from a rural farm town to an outer ring suburb and with that comes opportunities to tap into the pocketbooks of the rapidly expanding middle class. Chibog 2 Go is a small drive up only location. The preferred method of transaction is to phone in your order and pick it up at agreed upon time; although I drove up, ordered and then was asked to park in the lot and await a text. Within 10 minutes I received a wave and drove back thru and picked up my combo platter. The folks inside the hut were extremely friendly and helpful in discussing Filipino food and the options. The platter was a large eco-friendly container jam packed with 6 separate items. A large serving of rice noodles (pancit bihon) and a bed of white rice were the base, with a pork skewer, 4 small fried egg rolls (lumpia), 2 pieces of adobo chicken and a fried plantain desert (turon). This was my 1st experience with Adobo Chicken and it was the highlight of the meal. Fall off the bone tenderness marinated in a gravy like vinegar and garlic based sauce was a joy to eat. The only drawbacks were spending $25 for lunch with tax and tip. Great food and a healthy portion but the sampler platter could be a little more economical I believe. Also, without a dining area, it creates an issue trying to find a picnic table or make a mess in your vehicle if you don't work or live in the area. A great option if you're headed to Watkins Mill State Park for a picnic.

Just tried this new place in Kearney. Fantastic Filipino food. Everything is cooked to order so HIGHLY recommend calling or texting your order ahead. Pork skewers were tender and had a great mildly spicy flavor. Lumpia are the small size but are now offering a much larger version.

Excellent food, cool concept with everything made to order, and super nice people. They took the time to explain the menu to me and even showed me specialty items that you can order a day ahead. I will definitely order again soon!

    Small and not crispy

I don't even know why they have 5 stars. As a filipino, we know whats good or not. Their food taste is garbage. I don't usually leave a negative comment, but they need to know this for improvement. Let me start off with the prices. It is very expensive for small servings. i can't believe that their dinuguan is $18 and its in a small container, their puto is $14! The rice is half cup and very mushy, the lumpia is not crispy anymore. The turon is very soft and no taste at all. The only ones i ate was adobo and bbq. Their chibog combi which is $20 is not worth it at all.omg i cant believe this. Pansit is mushy as well and very bland, omg! I ended up throw away those bad ones food.

The food was delicious. The adobo chicken and the lumpia is the best I've ever had. The owners are so friendly and welcoming! We'll be back!

We were looking for some place to get dinner in walking distance and decided on trying Ting's as I've yet to try Filipino in the KC metro. I knew from previously walking through the farmer's market on the weekends, that this would be a casual setting. I'm familiar with Filipino food so I was excited to try this spot. However, the whole set up felt odd. There's a touch screen up front for you to place your order and pay, while the cook is behind the glass cooking up orders. You have no one at the counter to speak to or ask any questions. Mind you, I was not expecting a fine dining situation, but once the food was ready and it came out on a paper plate, something in you sinks. You expect that sort of presentation from a BBQ joint. I don't expect the sole cook to have the ability to also do front of house tasks, but there was no signage indicating you're to retrieve your own plastic ware. Also, no napkins anywhere, and the dude was clearly trying to clean up and get outta there, so I didn't bother asking for any. As for the food, it was fine. Nothing to write home about. I got the chicken adobo since it's something I've had at friend's homes before, but this lacked some salt & omph. I didn't bother trying my partner's pancit. Although, he gave me a bite of shrimp that tasted over cooked. This might be better as a lunch option when things are more lively on the weekends. ___ Heads up: while their hours say they're open until 7pm, they stop taking orders around 6pm... so if you're a Rivermarket local looking for dinner options, this may not be it.

I was told by the owner oh it is per pound. The packaging says how much it weigh already. When she was ringing me up with my goods, she still went ahead and weigh the products that is already been weighed by the manufacturer. I got 8 items and was charge almost 90 dollars. I came home and mind you i am 5 months pregnant, i was going to fry some squid because it is one thing f most filipinos fav dried fish, found black molds. Apparently it says on the package that it has to be in the cold environment at all times. Ut the owner is just letting it sits in the counter with room temperature. No wonder why molds grew inside. I called her and she got an attitude and was told" it is normal to have mold in the dried fish." So she was saying that it is ok for pregnant woman to eat mold. I told her i am servsafe certified and run a multi million dollar restaurant and i know what i am talking about. And i was told to just return it. Im Hoping she would not re sell it.

I like the food court here better and now there's a banh mi/pho place as well (haven't tried). They have homemade soy milk, frozen homemade dumplings, ducks and cakes for order. Their bakery section is no longer cash only, which is great. 888 seems to have the same range as Pan-Asia but I somehow find more Chinese and Vietnamese foods here. I was looking to make Vietnamese fried flour rice cakes (bánh bột chiên) and I could only find them here. Before Pan-Asia got a makeover, 888 was my go-to. They used to be worse about labeling prices, but they've gotten better. Unfortunately my most recent visit had a couple items on the receipt that were scanned extra times and my partner hadn't noticed. Staff if always nice and helpful otherwise. Shrimp & Sausage Boil: A stew of shrimp, sausage, and corn. The ingredients were of very good quality; the shrimp were firm and fresh, and there were over a dozen in one serving. The sausage had a rich smoky flavor, and the corn was sweet and juicy. The seasoning was basic garlic butter, with black pepper to remove any fishy smell and enhance the aroma, resulting in a subtle creamy flavor overall. Mashed Potatoes with Gravy: The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy with a distinct buttery aroma. Unfortunately, the gravy was a bit too salty. Mixed Vegetables: Purely boiled vegetables, completely unseasoned, too bland. I used them to dip the mashed potatoes, which made it absolutely better. Fried Chicken Tender: Scalding hot. Although the crisp wasn't crispy enough, it was still very aromatic.
