If you need your food by a certain time, make sure to call ahead so you can pick it up since preparing your food usually takes around 30 min--this is a slow fast food type of concept! I'm Filipina but don't have many chances to eat Filipino food, so I was excited to try this local gem! I got the chibog platter and shared with my husband for lunch on the weekend. Not too bad, for being my first experience here. I got the platter so I could sample a wide variety. It was decent. The lumpia had a nice crunch. The chicken was tender but not a whole lot of flavor. The rice was cooked well. There was a sauce that was a little sweet for my liking. Food took roughly 15 mins to make since everything is cooked to order. Filipino drive thru food in Kearney, MO? Crazy right? Well, Kearney has grown from a rural farm town to an outer ring suburb and with that comes opportunities to tap into the pocketbooks of the rapidly expanding middle class. Chibog 2 Go is a small drive up only location. The preferred method of transaction is to phone in your order and pick it up at agreed upon time; although I drove up, ordered and then was asked to park in the lot and await a text. Within 10 minutes I received a wave and drove back thru and picked up my combo platter. The folks inside the hut were extremely friendly and helpful in discussing Filipino food and the options. The platter was a large eco-friendly container jam packed with 6 separate items. A large serving of rice noodles (pancit bihon) and a bed of white rice were the base, with a pork skewer, 4 small fried egg rolls (lumpia), 2 pieces of adobo chicken and a fried plantain desert (turon). This was my 1st experience with Adobo Chicken and it was the highlight of the meal. Fall off the bone tenderness marinated in a gravy like vinegar and garlic based sauce was a joy to eat. The only drawbacks were spending $25 for lunch with tax and tip. Great food and a healthy portion but the sampler platter could be a little more economical I believe. Also, without a dining area, it creates an issue trying to find a picnic table or make a mess in your vehicle if you don't work or live in the area. We went there tonight and received friendly and excellent customer service. They threw in a flan for us to try as well as being one of the friendliest interactions at a business in a long time. The food itself was also fantastic. We got the Chibog platter and siomai. The siomai were plump and delicious. The platter gave a nice flavor variation and all of the items were great and we would get again, but the lumpia and chicken adobo knocked it out of the park. I could eat a whole chicken worth of that chicken adobo and be in absolute food coma heaven. The flan was a smooth, sweet, and delicious custard that I could eat a whole pan of despite being lactose intolerant, it is that good. Keep up the excellent work Chibog 2 Go! read more

Let me start off with the prices. It is very expensive for small servings. i can't believe that their dinuguan is $18 and its in a small container, their puto is $14! The rice is half cup and very mushy, the lumpia is not crispy anymore. The turon is very soft and no taste at all. The only ones i ate was adobo and bbq. Excited to see Filipino food pop up in the area. I ordered the Chibog platter- it comes with pancit bihon, chicken adobo with rice, lumpia, a bbq skewer, and turron. It was so tasty and feels just like Flipino home cooking. The bbq was my favorite so I may get a full order of that next time. I also ended up getting shui mai, which were large compared to regular dim sum. They even had dinuguan off menu, which is so hard to find in KC so I bought one for a later meal. I requested to receive a text of their off menu items and am pleasantly surprised with the big selection. Everything is made to order so make sure to place your order ahead of time. I work in Kearney and I have driven past Chibog almost every day, Monday-Friday since it has opened. I had never had Filipino food before, so I was hesitant to try it, not knowing what I was getting myself into. However, the food options here in town have exhausted my taste buds so I decided that today was the day, I'm biting the bullet and giving Chibog a try. Let me tell you, I wanted to kick myself in the butt. I sure do regret not trying it sooner. I ordered the Chibog Platter so I could try a little bit of everything. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was so flavorful and tender! It slid off the bone with one bite. The pork skewers were also very flavorful and tender. Outside of the food quality, the customer service was fantastic. I have ate here twice now. You always need to call ahead before ordering and it takes usually 15-20 mins to get your food. At least you know that it is fresh. I will say that the flavor is good. I think that the quality of meat used isn't the greatest but it's not horrible. The portion sizes are also pretty small for the price. A little amount of meat and a small scoop of rice. What an amazing experience!! I called to ask about a menu and they went above and beyond. He first asked if I was knew much about Filipino food because he would go over the menu with me once I received the pictures. I'm very familiar with it, so that wasn't necessary, but what a great concept (especially in today's world where service has gone kaput!). He then told me to review the menu, call or text with any questions or when I was ready to order. He also stated that everything was made to order, so it would take a little bit. I called with my order and he asked how far from them I was. When I said about 15 minutes, he told me he would text me when my order was almost done, so I could head that way because it would need a few minutes to rest and cool before being boxed. They are drive thu only, no place to sit as it's tiny. But WOW! The food was delicious, hot even after my drive back home, and authentic. I will definitely be a regular customer! Remember when you order, BE PATIENT! This isn't fast food!! You will not be disappointed in anything you order. I highly recommend trying the Turon for dessert, if you like banana. read more
