Staff is very friendly and accommodating, I always feel like my teeth are cleaned properly and that they are looking out for me, and they make sure to remind me when I have an appointment. I started going to Dr Yu after my other dentist missed a HUGE problem that had been going on for years. The damage in the end was quite bad and I required surgery. No one noticed it until I came here, and they helped me fix it. That deserves 5 stars alone. Location is in Bridlewood mall, by the library, in that hallway past the food court.

He was there working on unaware patients, doing UNSUPERVISED job interviews! He gave my 10 year old son 2 numbing needles without my consent!. He did not do a consultation with me before or after he worked on my son. The front desk also did not give me any follow up instructions or information after his visit! The lady was too busy eating her chips! This establishment is very reckless. I now have to get my son tested for viral infections! Also the man that worked that day Mr Joon did not get the job!!!!!!!! This information was given to me by the manager. My stomach dropped when Hafsa the manager told me only a few days ago. This is disgustingly dangerous! Who knows how many other children were worked on from people not employed there!

BEWARE DO NOT GO to Studio dental, they will destroy your teeth and create problems you never had.

I actually came to Dr. Chu many years ago to get 2 of my wisdom teeth removed and finally the other…read more2 caught up to me and I needed those out as well. Being out of town, I went to another dentist to ask about the troublesome teeth but ultimately there isn't anyone that I trust more than Dr. Chu. Regarding the parking situation, there is a big lot that should have spots available. There's a security guard that is very diligent about watching the cars because Scarborough General is literally a block away and people try to park in this lot for free. The signs in the lot say that there is a 1 hour limit for parking. Inside the office, you'll see that there is a sign that says there is a minimum of 2 hours for parking. The receptionist will provide you with a little slip that you can put on your dashboard indicating that you are authorized to park there. The office is located in the plaza with the Shoppers which is convenient because you will likely get prescribed something for pain/antibiotics if you're getting your wisdom teeth out like me. Look for a hanging blue sign and an entrance that will take you up a set of stairs. The receptionist desk is right there and they can check you in. Both receptionists are really friendly and helpful. I was a little nervous about my appointment and one of them talked with me a bit assuring me that everything would be fine and that little kids and adults alike handle their surgeries well. I actually fall into the category of big baby so this was good information. There are two areas in the waiting room. One of them had a TV playing CBC News. There were many magazines to peruse through as well. After a bit of wait, I was shown back to a room. A nurse took down some additional info before Dr. Chu came in. Dr. Chu is very calm and professional. He explained my case to me and let me know that it was completely my choice whether or not to go ahead with the procedure. This was very important to me. I'd rather be given the option (if there's no foreseeable consequence to not doing it) than pushed into surgery that wasn't entirely necessary. I was told the extraction took about 15 minutes (I was completely out). After my extraction I was shown to a recovery room and a nurse sat with me for a bit and explained my after care instructions and answered my questions. She wasn't pushy about getting me out at all. She gave me the option to stick around some more to let me get my bearings but I had my parents with me and was okay to be on my way. I'm happy to report I didn't end up looking like a chipmunk and I was able to just take Advil to deal with the pain during the healing process even though I had the option of getting stronger painkillers. A few of my family members have also had their wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Chu and the consensus was that he's very good at what he does. A big thank you to Dr. Chu and the team!

I had the first appointment of the day at 10:00am and didn't see the dentist till 11:30am. He walks in through the back door at 11:15am. They have set up their appointment allocation in a way that you have to wait a minimum of one hour after your original appointment time. The second time I went in, I had my appointment set for 11:00am and didn't see the doctor till 12:30pm. Terrible service. As a self employed person I have no coverage so these guys do it the cheapest. But lesson learned, I'd rather pay higher to get quality service then having to wait for hours to see a dentist. These people don't care about their patients time or anything. These patients work hard and take time off work but they don't care. Wish I can give a lower rating but can't.
