I have ATM cards from two banks that have locations in Palmer, and I went first to the big/national bank where I keep most of my money. It was first thing in the morning, but they couldn't help me. I needed to make an appointment to come back after lunch. They weren't very friendly about it, either. So, I decided to take out some cash (I had my passport for ID) and go see the Country Bank branch. As I suspected, Country Bank was able to help me immediately. Deanna K. was the teller who saw me first, and she was able to issue me a new ATM card. Unfortunately, there is usually a 2-day delay before the card could be used. Carole Reuter, the Branch Operations Manager, was able to override this for me once she understood that I was in a bit of a jam, since I needed an ATM or credit card to go online and get a temporary license to drive. Both Deanna and Carole were extremely nice and accommodating and understanding. This is truly customer service at its best, and it highlighted for me the difference between a big-name big-bank and a local bank that genuinely cares about its customers. It's a really excellent product which I have been loving ever since I first tried it in Brazil but one person I know loves that way more than I do and that person is named Barbie. This is one of my favourite sodas even though it's a little on the sweet side and has a strange taste. It's made from some kind of Guarana syrup which is apparently sourced from the Amazon region and it's the Brazilian national drink. It is to them what Coca-Cola is to America - but it's definitely got more about it than Coca-Cola and I highly recommend giving it a try even though it is clearly not very good for you. Maybe that's why the Brazilians have such ample charms in the rear Department.
