Usually, I am a sucker for salt and chili squid and was a bit disappointed to see that it was not on the menu. Instead they serve salt and chili scallops and I have to admit I am now a convert. For just over £5 I enjoyed a decent portion and the salt and chili coating was well seasoned. The portions in general are pretty generous and you will easily be able to share a portion of rice or noodles with a friend/partner unless you are famished. They will throw in the obligatory bag of prawn crackers if you order over £10 and sometimes even a tin of lychee's. It will take between 30-45 minutes to get your food delivered depending on the time and day you are ordering. Whilst it's best to order by number off the menu, you still find that the staff are friendly and will conscientiously check that your order is correct. This is certainly how Chinese take away should be done and well worth your custom.

I highly recommend the Chicken el fuego, All Star burger [beef], and the Double chilli and cheese [on the hot side - I like to add garlic mayo]. Have a good read of the menu to make sure you're getting what you want in your burger, they are actually all quite different. The All star is best if you like everything; their dill pickles are particularly tasty. Their fries come without the salt added, so you can only blame yourself for adding too much and they are nice and fresh and crisp. The burgers are cooked under a flame, which makes them super tasty and their buns are really nice [I'm not sure why, but they are]. They have a couple of tables inside but I've never eaten in, so I can't review the eat-in service. I must not forget the milkshakes, because although they are super high in calories [obviously] they do a toffee flavoured one, which cannot be said for the competition [yes, I'm talking about you Mc D's]. Still, if you want to indulge in a burger from time to time I would certainly recommend stopping at Uncle Sams over some of the big chain brands dotted around town.

I haven't had the Chinese from here for a while,, but always remember it being authentic and tasty. They are also happy for you to telephone an order in advance, but you will have to collect it from the shop. Thankfully, Church road in the evenings will always have somewhere for you to park up. A very good business that has been operating for so long because it's good!
