They literally have a 3 casinos on this street alone. This one was a bigger store like a Walmart…read moresupercenter. Lots of aisles and lots of grocery items. Lots of good prices on everything from fruit and pastries to meats and frozen goods. If you want to have a quick alternative to fast food breakfasts or local bakeries, they got a lot of relatively cheap stuff to explore. As I said in other reviews, this is France's national grocery chain so it's a credible place to shop. I took a bunch of photos to show as well so I hope you like them!!

The cashiers were mainly young girls, who understood English but only wanted to use French. The first time I bought food, the cashier asked me if I wanted utensils. I said yes, and she gave it to me. The last time I went there, I asked a bag, and the cashier gave me a partially tested bag, which I was still ok as my purchase was not so much. Then when I asked for a folk, she opened her cash register and gave me a unwrapped folk. If you don't want to deal with foreigners, don't work where the center of the tourism.

We have to love it because it so convenient. This formerly was a Huit à 8, but my understanding is that Carrefour and Huit à 8 had merged years ago. I guess they are just getting around to changing the name. However, we did notice a change in configuration and products. The Huit offered a little more variety and had the rotisserie chicken outside constantly going with the aroma wafting. They still offer rotisserie chicken, but it is now inside. Of course, they now offer a lot more of the Carrefour brand products too.

The employees and the security of Carrefour Market on 9 boulevard Gambetta are cruel. The security crew are unethical towards customers. The woman who monitors the security cameras laughs at the customers who visit Carrefour Market. She plays cruel pranks and summons security to humiliate customers. Some of the cashiers at Carrefour Market 9 boulevard Gambetta collaborate along with the security guards to either humiliate or try to entrap customers into getting wrongful accusations of shoplifting. It's important that all customers to Carrefour Market 9 boulevard Gambetta request their receipts after purchase of groceries! Carrefour Market security will delight in humiliating customers who will then be charged with shoplifting due to forgotten receipts! The food is too expensive. Service is sinister. Ambiance is awful. I was mistreated at Carrefour 9 boulevard Gambetta.
