Rest of the family was home cooking dinner so we were really just grabbing a beverage and an app to split. There was live music, had a very difficult time understanding what he was singing even though we knew the songs. Bartender was very chill and did a great job. Place was busy so reservations would be ideal rather than popping in. Second night the other half of my family came for dinner. We had an appetizer of buffalo cauliflower which was good. I enjoyed my shepherds pie, grandfather liked his fish & chips (which I seen a lot of people order the night before). My uncle had chicken wings while my cousin had chicken sandwich, both were pleased with their meals as well. I imagine there is a lot of traffic from the hotel in the same plaza. Parking can be very difficult later in the evening. One thing that aggravated me was the lack of care to keep a clean sidewalk free if ice and snow. I say this because my girlfriend is disabled and where the handicap parking spot is the ramp and the sidewalk leading to the main entrance was covered in snow. Not only that anyone who is elderly would have difficulties walking as well.

Happened upon it thanks to recommendations from our awesome CM Risa (who told Mariko, who told me, who told... U get the picture) because it happens to be right in primo hiking and camping territory right off the highway (117-N). (Like literally RIGHT off the highway: SLAM ON YOUR BREAKS! Son is definitely the best at providing friendly, sweet service, Dad's not terrible but not super bubbly or anything and Mom ...well she's a weird one, but it seems like once she recognizes you service becomes sweet and very attentive all of the sudden, so bonus points when you come often! Price is quite expensive for a little road side truck stop, but the quality and love put into this food makes it worth every penny spent so I can't even remove a star for that. There's one tiny bathroom which is not ideal, but does the trick. There's outdoor seating and 'indoor seating' (screened in dining area). And also a kyoot space for kids to play (swing set). This place is quiet at the beginning of the season, but gets busier as summer goes along. We were always in and out within 10-15 minutes, though. Even if it took longer I would still give this place 5 stars the food is that amazing. Perfect little pit stop. A must-stop for sure and I even recommend going out of your way for this. Dammit. The concept is a mix of a Quebec casse-croute (fast food joint), cheese market and dairy bar in one. This St-Jerome location is relatively new, it's beautiful and spacious with a lot of seating options both inside and out. The restaurant features large garage style doors that open up fully to let in a lot of air, making it feel like you're sitting on a terrace. The menu has all kinds of poutines, paninis, burgers, spaghetti and pizza. They also sell fried curds, hot dogs, pogos and salads. They even serve breakfast and have an express, discounted lunch menu. Of course you'll find their classic cheese curds, and other types of cheeses. Although they are not made on site, they are delivered fresh everyday from Victoriaville. Food is ordered at a counter, cantine style, and depending on how busy it is, they can make you wait at your table and call your name once it's ready. I opted for a baby sized classic poutine and the "Inter Victoria" burger which has onion rings, bacon and cheese curds as special toppings. I love that they display all their containers so you can get an idea of the different sizes (baby to family sized formats!) and there is a filtered water fountain to refill your cups. The ice cream bar has your classic cones, sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, frosties (mix of ice cream and slush) as well as dips you can add on your cone. I opted for their "Vic mixte" which is their equivalent of a Dairy Queen Blizzard or the Mcdonald's Mcflurry. I got the strawberry cheesecake filling and it was truly delicious. The only complaint was how small the cups were compared to an actual Blizzard. All in all, the food was delicious, the cheese is delicious and the ice cream is made of real, fresh cream- not your DQ or ice milk type so it's truly decadent. Plus they even have a drive thru so you can easily order to go!! Must visit, especially as a family, everything is simple and fresh, a real crowd pleaser.
