Chez Chantal is a cute cafe-bar 'a la francaise'. The kind of local traditional place that the french love and that foreigners have to discover in order to understand the french culture a bit more,
The place serve coffee and alcohol along selling tobacco.
Chantal is the one cooking. It might not deserve a michelin star but it is homemade comfy food that makes you feel good and show you what the quality but simple french cuisine is.
The local come there to enjoy a 'demi' (half a pint), gossip or simply sit there and have a little chat. Chantal serves lunch and dinner but you can still come round for a crisp croissant and a cafe (espresso).
You can also take food back home or order a meal for a large group. The couscou is a must in those cases and is truly excellent.
You go to this cafe for the ambiance, warm and welcoming and for its large terrace at the back of the place where you cam enjoy your meal or a drink in peace.
