This is so frustrating. I went in for an eye exam in November. They ordered my new glasses, which I picked up the week before Christmas. The new glasses made me dizzy and nauseated. Since then I have been back 4 times! They have remade the lenses 3 times and still I am having headaches and dizziness from the glasses! I've been wearing eye glasses for 35 years and never had this kind of problem before! The last measurements were done by the doctor herself, which addressed a concern I had with the original measurements being done by the technicians. The glasses get better with each iteration, but 4 times??? Really guys??? It's been 4 months now and no solution. I've already paid them $1000 dollars so going somewhere else is not an option.. My experience with the doctors and their assistants has been good. The optical department, not so much.

They show on my insurance carrier as in-network, called to verify and they said they didn't take my insurance. Call insurance provider, they verified that they were in network. Insurance provider called them, and they admitted they did take it, but didn't have time to set up the billing process, and didn't feel like doing so at this time. Had to find another provider that actually honored their contract. read more

To preface, the optometrists are perfectly nice and fine. However, going to this establishment was the worst experience I have ever had with any retail, ever. I waited a good few days to cool off before writing this. To being with, when I first went to buy a pair of glasses, I was told there would be a 15-minute wait and to look around. After an hour of waiting and not seeing anyone in the optical department for over half an hour, I went up to find out I had never been placed on the list. Almost an hour and forty-five minutes later, I had placed the order for the glasses I wanted and was told I would wait two to three weeks. A week later, I get a call that they had messed up the order and that I needed to come back in, which was fine and I did. I get a call a couple weeks later to "come and pick up my glasses". I went in and looked around to see a full store, again with no workers on the optical side and was told. once again, that it would be "a fifteen-minute wait" before I could pick up my glasses. After 15 minutes of not seeing any optical workers and not hearing any names being called, I began to worry if I would make it in time to pick my son up from pre-school, so I went to the front to communicate my time constraints and that this was already a terrible experience because I don't think they are being honest in communicating their wait times to the customers. In general, my experience is that you sit around and watch a squadron of workers at the front desk not really do anything while the optical floor is deserted and people waiting slowly wander out of the building. I stand by that last sentence being extremely accurate. So, I asked to speak with a manager to communicate my frustrations and because I needed to get the show on the road. Kim the optical manager met with me and immediately was unpleasant. I communicated my frustrations about my initial visit, the mess up on my order, and how currently the visit was going the same as the first one when all I need to do is pick up my glasses and be on my way to get my son. At this, she said it is basically first-come-first-serve and that I will have to wait. I was and still am actually confused as to why the two minutes to serve paid customers is placed in queue behind the 30 minutes for people to order their glasses, regardless, I made the point that nobody was on the floor and I was told 15 minutes and asked if I could get a realistic time estimate because I did not have time to wait over an hour to sign a paper and grab my glasses. She said, "Well there are 5 people in front of you and you are wasting my time talking to me, soooo.... Do you understand what I am saying to you?" as she bobbed her head back and forth. Clearly, she was telling me to sit down and shut up, to which I replied "That is unfortunate. You know, myself and my family of five will never come here again." Oddly, she then asked, "you are picking up?" To which I said yes. She then marched into the back and came back with a bag a few seconds later, took my glasses box out and slammed it on the counter. She shoved a paper my way and said "sign this" which I did. She then threw the box into the bag and shoved that at me as well. Minutes of arguing to do something that took under a minute while they sat in the back doing who knows what. I took it and said, "have a nice day" before I marched out upset. When I told my wife what happened, she said when she was there she had frames picked out in her hand, waited over an hour and then put them back and left. I wish I would've left before ever giving them money. We decided we will just go to FoCo and pay out of pocket because we can. We will never go into that place again. You have been warned. read more

I went there once because I lost my contact lense, because my prescription had "lapsed" by 2 weeks they put me through the wringer of unnecessary procedures. I pain them, my insurance company paid them and the billed me again for 6 months despite my letter and phone calls. The doctor I had was a certifiable quack and he still works there. This is a big money operation, stay away from these folks. read more

Unless you're OK with getting ripped off, misdiagnosed by one of their doctors who then made you run around to get bloodwork, etc., providing false information to your medical insurance and so they can get paid for their mistakes, and to top it off getting overcharged for prescription glasses which they never submitted a claim to my vision insurance, I would recommend going to some other vision clinic in Cheyenne or in Fort Collins. read more

The place is a factory. I had zero success getting my eyeglass prescription done properly, even after many tries and send backs. The most difficult part of all this was being treated like a difficult patient when, in fact, they couldn't get a fairly simple prescription right. They blamed the lab, they blamed me, they blamed anyone but themselves. Six months went by and not once did they produce something I could use. The optician that helped me after picked up my glasses was extremely rude. She basically refused to help size my new glasses. Another optician had to set in and help me with my fitting. My glasses took over five weeks to come in. I will never again go to Cheyenne Vision Center! Hire new staff! read more

This review is for the Optical side. My last review was for the Vision Side. This is difficult as things did messy. However, there are things that need to be explained. There are reasons as to why I am giving five stars even though things got messed up. There is one care coordinator right now. She's doing the best that she can with a large load of work. I think anyone who's worked in customer service knows that hard to deal with. She is fielding a lot. If the lab makes a mistake she is stuck trying to deal with the customer, and all the anger and frustration that might come with that. I personally witnessed other situations where she was not being treated well, and was handling things as best as she could. The other staff is much the same. Everyone is doing their best to try to work together. Again, I witnessed many ppl treating the customer service from administration to billing horribly. That said, there were issues. Without getting too into the mucky details two pairs of my glasses were broken. It was an awful mistake. Everyone felt awful all around. It took a bit to figure out, but we got it figured out and then some. It just took some patience and communication...also understanding. I think it's important to remember to be kind. Things happen. Sometimes mistakes happen, but if things are fixed in the process there's no reason to get too worked up. They will fix it! Promise! read more

Went to my appointment this morning, drove 45 minutes on the ice, only to be told that they didn't accept my vision plan and I would have to pay over 200 for my visit. I cancelled, then come to find out the person who looked up my vision plan had no clue about anything and they do accept my plan. Not helpful at all. When asked if they could squeeze me in, since I was there and it was their mistake, they said no. Horrible customer service. Train your people and do everything you can to fix your mistakes. read more

First experience I had with them I had to go back to get a different prescription because they didn't double check the student doctor decided to give them another shot. Ordered my glasses through them will never do that again not only was it extremely expensive, but I have yet to receive my glasses and every single time I call I get hung up on . I had Yag laser with Dr Mansell on April 1st 2025. After procedure, he makes you wait 20 minutes and is supposed to come back and check on you! He didn't! After 35 minutes an assistant enter the room and asked if Dr Mansell had checked me. No! She said he had left for the day. Dr Mansell also said he would give some moisture drops. Dr. Sipe was great but the optical shop is a joke. I thought the mix up getting my glasses was bad but now I have waited six weeks for my sunglasses and still don't have them. Twice they have told me my lenses are in and I just need to bring my frames in. Why would I have my frames when I ordered frames from them???!!!! Then they say "They are being processed at lab". I doubt they were actually ordered. Lots of excuses. I will never return to this place. read more

WOW!!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I would leave a negative star if I could!!! My husband went in to buy a replacement plastic nose piece and had his glasses broken!!! Then was told it's not on them and that we're stuck with the broken pair of glasses? Are you kidding me?!? Legally this is referred to as culpability. Margo the "supervisor" is one of the rudest people I have met, not sure who gave her a leadership role but that should be reevaluated...the lack of accountability for her team and herself is apparent. This really reflects poorly on what I thought was a reputable company/ place of business.... Just because the frames were not purchased through them, they think they are not at fault??? A very kind young lady asked to to see the glasses, said she could fix them... took them from our possession and accidentally broke them... accidents happen, we are well aware... but to be told that the employees mistake is now our problem to fix? That's not how it works... the business needs to be held accountable for their employees, even their employees mistakes... I hope this company decides to do the right thing and replace the frames and apologize for their rude employee Margo. read more

Very slow if you buy more glasses. An issue with my insurance and nothing was said to me about it. Very poor communication.

My two daughters and I were visiting Cheyenne for the Thanksgiving holiday. Both are using ortho-k lenses and in the morning we realized that we didn't pack the plunger to remove them. Called the Cheyenne Vision Clinic to see if they had a plunger and they couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. On the phone, the super kind receptionist checked to see if they had one in stock, returned to the line and said it'll be waiting for us at the front desk. When we picked it up, she said there's no charge! Kindness goes a long way in this world and the Cheyenne Vision Clinic is leading by example. I will be sure to refer all of my friends and family in Cheyenne to this fine establishment. read more

The doctor I saw was excellent and I have no complaints about him. The side where you pick you glasses, is another story. First, I had zero help in trying to pick out my glasses. The girl that finally waited on me had to keep going in the back to ask questions, which made me nervous. They pretty much only have high dollar brand name glasses. The non-brand ones are hidden in drawers and the selection is awful. After my insurance my glasses came to over $1000. Which is insane. Then when my glasses came in, they weren't even remotely the correct RX. They sent them back and said they'd put a rush on them. That was 3 weeks ago. I STILL don't have my glasses. Was told this past Sat 12/28 they'd be in by Monday or Tuesday. When I called today, now I'm being told next week sometime. WORST customer service. I got excuse after excuse. This was my first experience with this place, and it will be my last. I'll be going back to America's Best. Even without insurance I could have gotten 2 pairs for about $400 less than what I paid for 1 pair and the customer service is 100% better. I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews before I made an appointment here. read more

Returned glasses after the right lenses were put in frames that were not picked out for the glasses. The office manager thought it was appropriate to start yelling loud enough for my child to hear from the front desk to the optical department that they were the right frames and that they know what they are doing. It was totally uncalled for, and I know that it was probably a clerical mistake that was made don't know why she felt the reason to raise the voice away she did. My insurance is now charged, and iad far as I know I am now relying on her to return the glasses, so that my insurance is no longer charged. This is absolutely my last time going there. Since Doctor Carroll has left this place has no customer service. read more

At last appointment with Dr. Lahiff, there was a shadowing intern with him. No problem with that, the issue was apparent when my appointment became his flaunting parade. He refused to listen to my repeated requests to slow down because the quick optical changes were making me nauseous, and even went faster. Then he gave a flippant response to the name of that condition and started to walk out of the exam. I asked "aren't you going to check my near vision?", he responded " that never changes after a certain age" ! Needless to say, my rx was not even remotely correct, and it was a complete flushing of a hard earned paycheck. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. My wife got her new prescription a little over 2 months ago. When she got her glasses, she noticed things didn't look as clear as they should, and she was getting headaches, so she called the clinic. They told her that was normal for someone whose prescription changed as much as hers. Fast forward to today, 2 months later. It hasn't gotten any better. She figured out that she was seeing worse with her new glasses than her old ones, and also worse than without any glasses. We went in to talk to the eye doctor, but no doctors were there, only a very rude optician who tried to blame it on the place where we got the glasses (Sam's Club), and didn't even offer to set up an appointment with an eye doctor to recheck the prescription. Apparently, their eye doctors don't make mistakes, and it's always someone else's fault. We'll take our business to Sam's, where the very kind ladies took over an hour to look at her older prescriptions, explained what it all meant, checked the lenses to be sure they were what the prescription said they should be, and set up an appointment for a new exam. read more

I end up ordering my own frames, when I go in to order the lenses I am now told it will cost 4 times the originally quoted price. Seems like some shady practices going on here. Zero Stars! Terrible all around experience. First they offered the eye test to my daughter without asking me. When I was told they cost 150$ extra, I declined. Crying kiddo how was terrified b/c the doc told her it burn and hurt for hours. Next sales...asked for an affordable pair of frames. Sales team thought it best to show her 400 plus frames. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND SELECT ANOTHER CLINIC. I have been a patient of this optical group for a few years. I normally go to the Yellowstone location. The customer service technician with whom I interacted, her name is Sheniel, I'm not sure if I got the spelling correct but none the less she was rude. I was scheduled for a 7:30am appointment. I arrived 10-15 minutes before my appointment. The clinic was not open. I waited patiently until 7:30am to be let in just to find out that they could not check me in. Again I waited patiently provided my name to the Sheniel (sp?). She checked me in and then checked in another customer who arrived after me. The other customer was called back for treatment before me. I was refused the ability to submit my complaint directly with the office manager and instead was given a generic cheyennevisionclinic@gmail email address. Completely unacceptable. This company DOES NOT value customer's, nor do they value your time. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

During my appointment I think I was helped or checked by all of the staff there that day, and everyone was very friendly and courteous. Although they may not be the cheapest place in Cheyenne, in a town known for poor service throughout, they shined as an exception to the rule, and for that I'm willing to pay extra. I was also there at the end of the day, and I heard who I assume to be the manager or owner moving around the store thanking and congratulating all of the staff on a great day and a job well done; that shows class. If there was a single negative to the experience it was that I did feel mildly rushed both during my exam and glasses selection. In this case though, I was also wanting to get home and call it a weekend so I didn't mind. read more

We were visiting from out of state, and my son lost a screw and the bow fell off his glasses. We dropped in too this clinic and in minutes, they'd fixed his glasses free of charge. We also appreciate that they require masks to reduce Covid risk. read more

Eye exam - great; basis for the 2vstars. Issue is the Optical side. Glasses ordered on 2/17/23; told it would be 30 business days. Waited extra days, then called. Left 3 messages in 5 days, no response. Went in the next week to find out what's going on. Checked their records, found they had been shipped on 2/22 but "not received". Ordered again on 4/11; notified they were in the afternoon of 4/17. Stopped in on 4/18, after a 15 minute wait (no one else waiting for optical service; another customer came in and was waited on prior to me), tried the glasses on, couldn't see. Ciera, who was assisting me, looked at them and said it appears the "fit" was off. Offered to adjust them to wear now and order new lenses. Said no. Requested a refund, was told needed a doctor's approval for refund, said go get it. Not leaving without refund. She was frustrated that I wasn't happy and went and got Cailyn(?), her superior, who basically did the same as Ciera. Said policy would allow a refund without doctors approval. Doctor was busy all day. I asked when or if she would speak to her and she replied I don't know that I will. Told Cailyn and Ciera that the customer service was extremely lacking. Cailyn apologized and kept trying to put everything on the party that did the original order but was no longer there. Told her didn't matter, no follow up on the original order; refused refund; options to correct the issue was 1 - order again at no charge to me. I didn't do the order incorrectly the optical department did, but why would I want to go that route again with them? No response. Requested a call from the doctor and we'll see if that happens and if the refund happens. read more

So I made an appt for my son to get glasses and contacts. His contacts had to get 3 fittings because of the eye doctor not liking the prescription/fit. We have one more appt to finalize the script and I get a bill in the mail for $108.00. I called and they said that is what was owed. I explained to them that I had no finalized script and they informed me that it was an error but when his script is finalized I pay that amount. Heres the issue, when I spent over 1k for prescriptions and glasses and I asked if I owe for the contacts, I was infmed that they were included in the contact script for him. I paid full price, no insurance and I wanted one transaction. This is a classic nickel and dime move and oh by the way...very unprofessional and dishonest. Will not be using them. This is the second time something like this has happened in this town. Dishonest business practices. Next time I will get it in writing and protect myself and call out these businesses who are dishonest and need to charge people so they can make their next Maserati purchase. I've been working with Dr. Carol for years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. In addition to monovision, amblyopia and Astigmatism, Dr. Carol recognizes and is sensitive to my conditions and provides a gestalt approach in treatment and corrective lenses. He's patient, thorough, and friendly while being efficient and effective. The staff at the clinic are well trained and are also efficient. There's no fly-by-night operation here! They're all, all about the patient. read more

Save your money and time, and go to an eye clinic that actually values the patient. I patronized this clinic for 10 years, but after expanding their business and location, customer service has drastically declined. While the staff is very friendly, it seems that the office staff and optical staff really have no expertise. Dr. Holly retired, and unfortunately I saw a new doctor this time, and I had terrible luck with a pair of glasses. After three attempts at getting the correct lenses in the glasses, I finally gave up. Mind you, when I pointed out upon picking the glasses up that they weren't right, I was told to just wear them and get used to them. Same after the second set of lenses. Finally, I decided I would take the glasses back and try my luck with a different clinic. I was only able to get a 50% refund, however, because two months prior when I ordered the glasses I signed a random form that said if I was unhappy with the glasses, I could return them for a refund of half. When you're ordering glasses from your eye doctor, you expect they're going to be right. The frustrating thing is, it was their fault the lenses were incorrect due to bad measurements. I otherwise liked the glasses and never would've returned them had the lenses been right. On my second trip in with the glasses, I asked about seeing the eye doctor again to make sure the prescription was accurate. I was informed by the optician that they don't do that until they've exhausted whatever options or issues with the actual lenses themselves. That made no sense to me, as it seemed reasonable to make sure the doctor had determined the right prescription. Nonetheless, after the third set of lenses, I was told that the doctor wanted to have me schedule another exam, so she could confirm the prescription. By that time, it was my fifth trip to the office in two months, not to mention all the time spent waiting in the office and time away from work. So, you never expect that when it's the clinic's fault that you're dissatisfied with your glasses, you still only get a 50% refund. Sure, I could've done another exam and tried again with a fourth set of lenses, but at some point, it just isn't reasonable to keep dealing with a clinic that clearly doesn't value the customer's opinion or time. Online glasses sites give as good or better service as this clinic, at this rate, and I would've gotten 100 percent of my money back if I'd been dissatisfied. Look elsewhere and save yourself the hassle. read more
