There's a huge selection of Magic the Gathering sets to choose from, not just the most recent couple of releases. The prices are right, and Gus is always willing to help you find what you're looking for. My only gripe with the place is the hours. They usually open at 12 (1pm on Sundays), and that's so late. This is a problem with all the hobby shops in town (and elsewhere, I'm sure), so I won't mark him down for it.

They have a cool selection of books, and a lot of gift type things like tea, stuffed animals, bookmarks, art supplies, etc. I noticed the dinner menu and decided a cheeseburger sounded good. I ordered the Basecamp cheeseburger with bacon and a side salad. You can apparently order food upstairs and then sit upstairs or downstairs (or outside, I think). They have table service as well, after 4pm. Service was very friendly and patient. I decided to eat downstairs, and there was a cozy bar and large seating area. My burger soon arrived and it was delicious! A great toasted bun and a wonderfully substantial and beefy patty. The cheese was rich and gooey. Great, yummy combination of flavors. The salad was good too, with a nice ranch dressing on the side. A cool place that made me feel welcome and served up a great burger.

Sure some things are trending (and that's a good thing) but lots of things are just awesome to have. Of course you are going to find Smokey the Bear.. and the National Parks Project, and all sorts of random hiking and camping things... I didn't say gear here, because this isn't an outfitter, it's a place to make you home, feel like it belongs in the PNW. Not cheap but it works if you are staying at the lodge and just want to come down for a drink or a snack. Without having to drive out of the entire property!
