This has to be my favorite gas station. It's huge! There are many pumps on each side so you never have to wait. Inside, they have everything from toothpaste to croquetas. Yes, you read that correctly- CROQUETAS! They also have great sandwiches if you need to pick up some lunch too! This is the cleanest, nicest looking gas station food mart in Miami. They have a mini-mart that has no "mini" about it! It's quite large compared to most gas stations, with a full sandwich bar, sushi, Cuban pastries, and an expanded selection of the normal fare one would find at a mini mart. I ordered the Miami Sandwich at the sandwich bar. It was freshly made and packed full- generous portions of delicious ham, bacon, turkey, tomatoes, lettuce, and sweet Swiss cheese. Here's the kicker: it was only $6, and it comes with a 32 oz fountain drink and a bag of lays chips! The sandwich was so filling that I could only eat half. The other half is waiting for me in my fridge now. If you work in the Sunset / Galloway area, this is the perfect place to stop in and order a fresh sandwich. Tonight, I went to Sunshine Chevron 21 and the clerk named RICARDO was EXTREMELY RUDE and ACCUSED ME OF STEALING. He didn't speak English and he didn't even try to speak English. He rushed to my car and was accusing me of stealing some lady's gas. Since he didn't speak English and the lady didn't speak English, they approached me like I had stolen her gas. She apparently prepaid $14, but she told the non-English speaking clerk the wrong pump number. I told them to speak to me in English, so I could understand. My car was nowhere near this lady's car, so I don't understand how the incompetent clerk could have made that mistake. This clerk named RICARDO was incompetent and extremely rude. He bluffed and said he was going to call the police. I didn't do anything wrong, so I didn't fear him calling the police. When I arrived at the pump, I slid my credit card as I always do, so I was very confused. Ricardo and the lady called me offensive names to each other about me and gossiped about me to the other customers while I waited to reimburse the lady. I only had $4 cash, so I tried giving him the cash along with my credit card. He wouldn't accept my cash. He forced me to pay the $14 with my credit card. He was HORRIBLE and this is the WORST experience I have ever had at a gas station. I am a loyal customer to this Chevron station, yet I was treated like a thief. He knew I had children in the car and he took his time charging my credit car. Miami is a very dangerous city. Ricardo should not have acted this way and made me wait so long while my children waited in the car. I am extremely upset with CHEVRON! read more

Filled my tank up with regular this Tuesday 3/6 at 7p. Went home. Driving to work the next day, car was puttsing and gurgling during morning traffic, I had to drive to the Honda dealer and have my car checked. It had a rough idle all the way, was afraid it would just conk out. Turns out what they drained from my car wasn't gas. And I have a sample to prove it. Long story short, after having to drain my gas tank and flush the lines, etc. It cost me $1300 and change. Will never go to this Chevron again. Already contacted Chevron Corp. and Department of Agriculture on their suggestion. read more

This is a great place to stop for gas and all things you need on your way to your next destination. It's very clean not your typically gas station to be honest. I was very impressed as a woman, I hate to put gas in my car. I know there's many of us out there that feel the same way. This gas station feels like if you are going to a mini market with the bonus of getting that pesky errand of putting gas out the way too. Maximo Alvarez, the owner, is hiring really rude employees who refuse to provide service to all customers and hiring managers that mock and mistreat customers. I expect more from a business owned by Maximo Alvarez. Ricardo refused to give me a receipt because I wasn't wearing a mask. Due to medical reasons, I cannot wear a mask. He was rude and he just ignored me. He went to the back of the store and got the manager. The manager refused to help me because I still wasn't wearing a mask. The manager was extremely rude and he mocked me. He was beyond rude. He was also extremely disrespectful and kept imitating my apparent hand gestures. He wouldn't stop mocking me. He mentioned that he used to work at a hospital and made fun of me because I cannot wear a mask. He said he didn't believe me that I cannot wear a mask. The culture at this store is disturbing. They are rude and they mistreat their customers. They just don't care. Ricardo doesn't speak English and he doesn't even try to help you if you don't speak Spanish. RUDE... RUDE...RUDE... I ended up staying in the store for about 10 minutes without a mask, so their approach makes ZERO sense. The sad part is the store is owned by Maximo Alvarez, a patriot who escaped COMMUNISM.
