Good pickleball. The courts are brand new, but they can get packed during the summer if the weather is nice

What it has going for it: - good fencing, gates and entry area - decent size run - dog drinking fountain - poop bags provided - limited views of river What it has going against it: - no small dog run - ground cover is packed dirt...bad drainage - no shade - limited seating - no parking close to run When they were planning Riverstone Park I am sure they needed to check off the box for a dog park, but I think it was at the bottom of the list of priorities since there doesn't seem a lot of thought was put into the planning of this dog park. Access is from the Centennial Trail. The closest parking is on West Suzanne Rd or you will have to park at the parking lot for Riverstone Park and walk over 1/3 mile to this dog run. This public dog run/park is being used mostly by the tenants of the adjacent Riverstone apartments. Add shading, more seating and better ground cover and this is a 3 star dog park/run. Fixed the drainage issue, add a small dog run and better access and this could be a 4 star dog run/park.

Looking for a Few People Who Visit the Atlas Dog Park in Coeur d'Alene…read moreThis may be a long shot, but if you regularly visit the dog park off Atlas, I'm hoping to connect with a few people who might know who I'm talking about. I'm looking for the people who regularly visit, including the person whose dog is named Molly and the gentleman with the small puppy. I have a couple of questions and would appreciate it if you could message me privately. I'm referring to the woman who brings two black dogs and has reportedly had confrontations with multiple people at the park, including elderly women. I personally had an extremely uncomfortable interaction with her. She yelled and swore at me, and afterward she stared me down for the remainder of the time I was there and watched me as I left. The way she looked at me made me feel genuinely threatened and unsafe. I acknowledge that my own interaction with her escalated, but my concern goes beyond one argument. I've heard from other park visitors who have also experienced problems with her, and I'm concerned about what could happen if these confrontations continue. I bring my young puppy and my 3-year-old child to this park. Nobody should have to feel intimidated or fear a confrontation while trying to enjoy a public space with their family and pets. Honestly, given the repeated concerns, I believe the city and the appropriate authorities need to take this seriously and consider whether she should continue using this park. I don't want to wait until someone gets hurt before something is done. If you have personally witnessed her behavior or had an experience with her, please message me privately. I'm looking for firsthand information so I can figure out the appropriate way to report this and address the safety concerns. Thank you to anyone willing to reach out.
