We stayed here thinking oh cool, a casino, right on the lake, could be a vibe...yeah if your vibe is scary ppl, terrible service, and obviously health hazards. We checked in and at first glance understood this place was in desperate need of a facelift or demo...however we did not realize how accurate we were until we actually got to our room. It was dark when we arrived to our first room... so we did not realize all of the "fun" we would have until we returned to our room around midnight after the pre wedding party we attended. When we returned, the children that were still awake, next-door were ao loud and literally (trying to) coming through our connecting room....clearly their parents were down in the casino. Speaking of The casino- it was small, cramped, smoky, and somehow topped out at $2 slot machines. Only penny slots- we played for 30 seconds and left. Horrible. Back to the room- where we noticed hair on the sheets in our FIRST room. We call the front desk, maybe 3 or 4 times between the wild animals next to us, to the hairy sheets, to the Pepsi that was dispensed from the vending machine after we requested Aquafina- Vending machine man: "clearly they won't notice the Pepsi isnt Aquafina" We didn't mention the dirt/food/drink stains inside the fridge because at that point it was low on the list just to sleep. We request a room move the next day because we are exhausted from traveling- we move down the hall to a non connecting room, where it was even dirtier. All pictures attached are from the SECOND room we move to. I am not surprised there were only housekeeping carts and no actual housekeepers in the halls or rooms, because no one was actually cleaning these rooms. Don't worry about bringing your own snacks to this hotel there are plenty in the room already for you We never tried the bar/grille place because it looked just as gross just even walking by.... Out of desperation We finally decided to call around and moved to the Polson Inn across the street where Jessica at the front desk was beyond accommodating and kind. She showed us 2 rooms before we finally chose one of their newly renovated king rooms overlooking the lake. Everyone here has been kind and best yet the room isn't hazardous to my health. They should demolish Kwataqnuk Casino, and MAYBE try again.

Not all towels or garbage was taken care of and when the bed was made (not changed) housekeeping didn't bother to move the pillows. They just left them where they were. Details are important. I also had to ask for the bed linens to be changed after a week during my two week stay.

Yet, there were no pots/pans, plates, utensils, cups, glasses, salt/pepper, or paper towels. That made no sense to me. Better to remove the stove top and sink. They served no purpose and I think most visitors won't go buy pots and pans. *Bottomline: This is a great value in a great property. We will stay here again.

We made no reservations nor have we had any contact since July 5th, 2024. A few minutes ago, KwaTaqNuk attempted to charge our credit card twice. Fortunately, the the old card has expired and a new one was issued, so the charges were declined. The phone number on the emails does not answer. The 800 number on the web site is perpetually busy. These people keep you credit card info in their database perpetually, then mess up their computer system to cause reservations and charges that never took place. This place is a joke. Stay away from here!!

We also split their breakfast burrito & hash browns for breakfast. Non-smoking casino area is very small, cramped, & exceptionally loud. Smoking casino was very smokey & really loud. Gamblers are not offered free drinks & ATM only gives out 100$ bills. Naomi is head of Security & she was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, & delightful. They started a new computer system that was creating problems. We received 10$ promo cash w/ our room that we weren't able to use & as new player members we should've had 20$ promo on our casino cards that never showed up. We would stay here again w/ the off season prices but would never stay in the summer.

You can't have a drink at the outdoor pool even though the bar is right there. The outdoor pool was real dirty and full of small floating items, maybe dead skin and was real cold. We were aware of other ratings but we had nowhere else to stay. For a non-high maintenance couple, there were a couple of things that put this over the line. When we got in the room my husband calls me into the bathroom to show me there is a bar of soap left in the shower and It has a huge pubic hair on it. Then we started looking around. Smudges on the wall, on the phone, refrigerator, everywhere you name it. I went to the office I asked if we could get a discount and I said I was going to clean the room. Laura who was on duty felt terribly bad about it and explained she had had a lot of trouble with help lately. Again due to other reviews we had brought our own cleaning wipes. I'm sitting there and Laura knocks on the door and tells me she wasn't even supposed to rent this room because of the air-conditioner after someone else's complaint. I wasn't even going to complain about the air-conditioner. I had turned it on I noticed it was rather inadequate but it seriously wasn't that hot outside. So she called the maintenance man. And asked him to bring a portable air conditioner to put in the room. He arrives comes in the room and announces that he doesn't know what the problem is the air-conditioner is adequate and it's no different than any of the others. Let me tell you his attitude was crappy. Before, I didn't really care but after he acted like he did I thought well, you know what dude? I'm going to go ahead and let you put this unit in. Pretty much the rudest person and when he got done I told him not to be so cranky and he gave me a smartass response. If you must stay here, bring your own cleaning Stuff, and just deal with it.
