5 out of 5 doesn't cut it!…read more I've been a client of Monika's for some time now. The very first time I saw Monika, it was just to get a hair cut. I had very long (almost waist length hair), and it was dry, damaged, and unmanageable. I decided I was going to cut it, jusy past shoulder length. Monika immediately reassured me, and took control of what I wanted. She listened to what I was asking, made her suggestions, ensured I was ok with this big decision, and then went for it! Before this encounter, I had not been in a salon, for over 2 years. I was sick of bad experiences, or just being content with my new hair cut. During that first cut, Monika got me to open up about my "hair goals". I told her what I wished I could do, but my hair was so damaged, and I was too afraid to try. Again, she reassured me. Finally, when I went back to get a trim, decided to let her take care of colouring it (box colour and roots were attrocious). WOW! Is all I can say, it was absolutely amazing, and I haven't turned back since! I let Monika do whatever she wants with my hair! She definitely knows best, and my hair has come such a long way, is so much healthier (not just healthy looking!), all while I've been able to enjoy having it coloured! Both my brothers also see Monika, and it is amazing. Much like me, one was very shy and timid with hair cuts (wore a hat at all times because he was too nervous to get a hair cut), and Monika world wonders! He doesn't even look like the same person, and certainly does not wear hats all the time anymore! We travel over an hour to see Monika, so I cannot recommend her highly enough!! I've added pictures of the first, and most recent colours from Monika. Even looking at the two before pics, you can see the complete difference in health of my hair. Which was much worse when I first when to see her! Monika does truly amazing work, and has given not only me, but my brother as well, confidence, and a love for our hair, and that is absolutely priceless!

That's more commonly done there than I'd like to admit. But it's summer, and it's already really hot out when it can stop raining for five seconds. I had hair down to the middle of my back and decided I'd like to liberate the healthy hair from the hippie hair. I walked into the salon at around 4 on a Saturday. There were two stylists in, and surprisingly customers. This proved to be a terrible shame, because Joan gave me a great cut in 30 minutes. I was armed with a picture of Jennifer Lawrence and the idea of "shorter, still layered, but with more bangs". She delivered. I lost three inches of hair in a few minutes and the panic I typically feel when I get that much taken off at once started to dissolve when she did a light blowdry and style on my hair. It was exactly what I wanted. I went home and did a nitpicky straightening on some of the hair blown around in the wind on my walk home. Still looked awesome, I smiled inanely a lot as I tried to get some photos of it. $21 for a cut and shampoo, no waiting, nice conversation. Give this place more business.

I just paid for it and a tip. As I don't like confrontation I basically ran home and took my hair down did it myself 110 dollars for a trim basically she didn't even have wash and dry.
