We would not recommend this realtor. We felt misled throughout the entire process, and our best…read moreinterests were clearly not the priority. We also had serious concerns about a conflict of interest that affected our confidence in his representation. He was condescending, dismissive of our decisions, and consistently spoke to us as though we were incapable of understanding the process. Instead of advocating for his clients, he tried to control every aspect of the transaction. Overall, this was an unprofessional and deeply disappointing experience.

If I could leave a negative star rating for this agent I would…read more She flat out lied about the property she had listed. Her exact words were "there is an animal smell because the owner lets the animals in and out of the house." Actually, the house reeked so bad from animal urine it stung the eyes and nose. She added to the sales contract, "inspection within 10 days", fairly standard in a contract, but failed to let us know that the seller was going to be out of town for nearly a week and wouldn't allow inspections or even showings while they were out of town. Then after our inspection (on day 5 of the days we could actually access the property, and before we even had the formal paid inspection), when we decided that the overwhelming smell was not something we could live with (and getting feedback from house inspectors that we'd probably have to replace the wooden floor and the sub floor), she tells the sellers and works with them to keep 50% of the earnest deposit. Seriously, if you are buying a house that she has listed, be very careful. And if you are wanting to list a house try and find someone who has more ethics and morals. People like her are what give real estate agents a bad name.

A dream was created when we visited Cookeville 10 months ago. Finding Kelly Davis of First Reality…read morewas like finding our fairy god mother who could make our wish come true. She never gave up looking for a perfect place for us while we went back to California to pack up, sell and move back to Tennessee. Kelly was willing to do distance walk-throughs on houses that interested us. She heard, I mean really HEARD our desires for our perfect place and she wasn't afraid to tell us when a certain place would not work out for us. When our house sold, she was ready to put in the long hours and miles to find that dream and make it a reality. We drove out in an older motorhome and a pickup truck. We gave 90% of our belongings away back west because we were that serious about our move. Kelly never gave up, looking at listing after listing. She was contacting fellow realtors and searching every option. One day, a place came up and she instinctively knew this was the one. Was it everything we wanted? Not everything...but our "everythings" changed over time as Kelly taught us about Tennessee and the Cookeville area. We agreed to meet her at the location and just driving up the street to the property, we knew it was our dream home! The three of us knew our future was on this property. Kelly had found and fulfilled the dream making all of our wishes come true. Moving to Tennessee and living in Cookeville is the dream! Beautiful countryside, wonderful people, great churches and more fun things to do than you have time for! Thank you Kelly Davis and First Reality for going above and beyond to give us a beautiful home and property!

After seven long years of searching for our forever home, leasing in Florida three years and…read moreTennessee almost four years, our unplanned move was necessitated as the owners of the house we were leasing needed their house back...in 30 days. Literally, we had less than a month to relocate. A month that included a long holiday when many businesses were closed. Our adventure began on Friday of Independence Week... how appropriate! The first two houses we were interested in, quickly became unavailable. By chance, I sent Gwin Home & Garden Realty an inquiry about a house on the market. I indicated that this house was the style we were looking for and that by the information on the website, it appears to check all the boxes. Almost immediately, I received a response from Realtor Genelle, who said "I believe I have your house" and we immediately made an appointment to tour this home, along with a few others. This house was in a location we were unfamiliar with but Genelle took the time, on that Sunday, to show us around with great patience and intuition. She was right, the first house she showed us was the house we loved and we placed an offer. Genelle patiently and with great expertise, worked with us and her team to manage all the details in a week full of holiday obstacles. Over the next few weeks, Genelle was right there coordinating with the lender and his team, the seller and her team, as well as, the Title company to make this purchase process flawless. While Genelle and her team worked their magic, our processes a hour and half away included movers, packers, cleaners and good-byes. Genelle came though on time and under budget and we are incredibly grateful. We love our forever home. Thank you, Genelle Thomas and the wonderful team at Gwin Realty in Crossville, Tennessee.
