Chemistea is a milk tea place that tries to put a different spin on the bandwagon. As the name suggests, they try to play with a chemistry-inspired theme. The menu is quirkily written in a design that incorporates the table of elements, and the name of the drinks continue the theme. Drinks are served in beakers and flasks, but sadly take-aways come in the same boring plastic cups.
Pricewise, their drinks are priced a little bit higher than other standard milk tea kiosks but then again, the place is made for hanging around in so turnover must be much slower. They have comfortable couches where you can lounge for hours playing board games from their collection (or bring your own!). There was also a small shelves off paperback novels which you can borrow for private reading in the store.
If you're a bit puckish, you can order a slice of cake or a cookie with your drink--they usually have three to five kinds of some sweet or another. read more
