Chemist warehouse manly Corso is awful! Bad treatment of staff from management staff. I Saw them yell at a staff member for going to the toilet on their first day and being 1 minute late from break, when staff member said "I didn't know there was a toilet here at work" the manager said "don't care not good enough". The staff member went back to work looking upset. And the manager talked badly about the staff member to other staff members. Another time I saw a staff member being yelled at for asking for a ladder to use for 1 minute to grab a box and the ladder wasn't being used by the manager (Magda was the name on her name badge) and she screamed "NO I'm using it" so I watched her and she was stocking lower shelves. I haven't really gone back there since I saw how they treat staff. I now rather drive to the Dee Why Chemist Warehouse as I like how they treat customers and staff. No customer service , No responsibility they will just take your money - just purchase a product that is not to Australian standard , they do not take responsibility for what they sell . APPALLING. I've just come home - fuming - having been followed around Chemist Warehouse on Manly Corso by a creepy 'Security Guard' (menacing brute in thick-rimmed glasses) whilst browsing for supplies. I thought nothing of it, not even when he sidled up next to me in the queue to pay, until he followed me outside the store and harassed me on the pavement; turns out he had indeed been following my every move. He demanded to look inside my handbag and shopping bag - he moved to reach his fat, hairy hand into my shopping bag to have a rummage and I told him 'don't you dare', so he asked me to step inside - I refused and handed him the receipt for my earlier shop. Nobody else was followed, harassed or victimised in front of passers-by on the pavement. I will take my business elsewhere and strongly encourage others - especially lone females - to do the same. I am moved to write because this is the SECOND time this same creepy individual has singled me out to victimise and harass. I've been left mortified, embarrassed and humiliated. I'm a Lawyer - not a Shoplifter and will escalate this to Head Office for an explanation and apology. DISGUSTED! read more
