The brightly lit, more child-friendly version offers a variety of gifts and cards. The prices are pretty great as well, with a rack of greeting cards out the front boasting the friendly cost of one dollar. This stood out as a particularly great feature to me; I find it hard to fathom how card company's can summon the nerve to charge up to six dollars for a simple card, especially when they don't even come with tacky music or pop-up features. The staff were lovely here, very helpful and kind. The store is small so the selection on offer is not enormous, but it might be a good place to start if you're searching blindly for a present.

I'm sure they can provide everything for your smoking needs (I'm not a smoker myself so I can't give advice as to the quality of those particular products or which brands are available here), but it's a large store and although they've clearly tried to fill it, the shelves remain sparsely populated with incense, jewellery and other odd bits. While I was wondering through this place it occurred to me that maybe tobacconists should really just stick to their area of expertise and leave the monopoly on odd little trinkets to gift shops, because I don't think tobacco shops do this particular aspect very well. Despite my misgivings with the rest of the store, the service is very friendly and the place fulfils the stated purpose.

It's a tiny little place so I suppose they've had to make some decisions as to what sells best, and they have decided to fill their shelves with mainly chips and chocolate, with a few toiletries shunned to one side on a shelf of their own. Yes, it's convenient for certain things, but not if you're in need of some last minute ingredients for dinner or don't fancy the idea of heart disease. When I called to check the opening times, the guy on the other end of the line informed me when they open quite decisively. As to when they close he didn't sound too sure - their closing time depends on trade, so be warned that what is listed is not set in stone by any means.
