When I went there, she always saw me right away, compared to other doctors offices where you're waiting in the exam room for a while until your doctor actually comes in. She also seemed nice and always took the time to answer any questions I had. But one thing that bothered me a lot was how they would reschedule me for almost every appointment I made, because she was also a midwife. Being a midwife, being rescheduled is reasonable; things come up and she's suddenly needed. But when they would reschedule me, it wouldn't be for another month or so. When they had to reschedule me, I don't know why they couldn't try to reschedule me closer to my original appointment, or maybe offer to put me with another doctor for the next appointment if she was too busy. After doing that for a few years, I decided to no longer be a patient because of how often I got rescheduled. Once they even called to cancel my appointment when I was only a few minutes away. It was worse for me because I didn't live around the area, so it was also a significant commute. I specifically saw this doctor because I liked her and the staff when I used to live around the area. But I decided the hassle wasn't worth it. If you don't mind getting rescheduled, or if you live around the area, it might not be as bad if your appointment gets canceled. I don't know the other doctors there, but having a different doctor might also give you a better experience.

I went to the Women's Health Center at Cambridge Hospital after finding out I was pregnant. Their…read moremidwifery service is excellent and through my 9 months I had the pleasure of meeting many of their midwives, nurses, staff, and even doulas. I was surprised that there weren't more reviews singing praise of this hospital and center. For a person looking for a less medicated birth, there is the option of the birth center but as I was two weeks late, I ended up giving birth in the hospital itself (and with the use of the usual drugs). I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the midwives (Mary Lou Carr, Lara Holbrook, Maureen McSwiggin (who delivered our baby boy)). I was very happy with my delivery, recovery, and follow up.

Don't go here, I wouldn't wish my experience with their billing dept on anyone. I had an…read moreappointment and over the next 5 months was billed and re-billed $2600 3 separate times for the same procedure. They failed to send my referral to my insurance twice. They tried to get me to sign something to say any cost my insurance refused to cover I would cover, this was hidden in a sign-in form... thank god I didn't sign that because my insurance explained that for 2 visits they coded 3 things incorrectly resulting in an extra $225 on my bill, which I would've been obligated to pay had I signed that form. Their billing dept refused to help me the 3rd time they billed me $2600 because they blamed my insurance company for the bill, claiming they were refusing to pay it when in fact they had already paid it... 4 months ago. Icing on the cake, after getting all of that sorted, they are doing it again with the bill for my follow-up appointment from that one. Absolutely unreal experience. It's really not worth the risk to go here. If your insurance company isn't willing to fight them for you, you can be stuck with insane bills that will never change because of a completely incompetent billing dept.

I've been coming for the past couple of years for annual check ups. The experience can sometimes…read morefeel like an assembly line where they want you out as quickly as they get you in. A NP had a student shadowing her that day and didn't even bother to ask if it was okay for her to come in during my visit. She struggled to login on the computer as I had to point of the capitalization lock was on. As she was placing an order for a prescription, she couldn't seem to remember how to spell the medication. She then proceeds to drop the sample she obtained without any gloves. However, my most recent visit was the best I ever had with a different Dr from my usual. She was professional, personable and kind. She thoroughly explained what she was doing and why while ensuring I was comfortable the entire time. Overall, your experience can significantly vary based on who you see.

They are knowledgeable in their areas and willing to listen The ultrasound ladies are sweethearts and willing to squeeze u even if u miss an appointment due to crazy traffic Cons: Not many late appointment and only the midwife has appointments at 4 she's nice but she over reacts and doesn't listen as well. I did some research and found Dr. Curiale and her associates came highly recommended, so I made my first appointment with her over a year ago and I've never looked back. I have PCOS, so I have specific challenges when it comes to my reproductive health. Dr. Curiale has incredible knowledge of her craft, she is kind, patient and more than willing to answer any and all questions I have without making me feel rushed. I was finally able to get pregnant earlier this year and she has been absolutely incredible throughout the whole journey. Every part of the staff from the friendly front desk ladies and lab staff to the nurses and medical assistants, make you feel welcome and that your care matters. I have never had an issue with scheduling appointment at times that work for me, and only on a few rare occasions have I had to wait a little past my appointment time- I'm usually ushered in within a few minutes of arriving. I cannot recommend this practice enough and I'm so glad I found them when I did!

I scheduled my current appointment for March 31, 2025 in August 2024!!! I wanted this visit to be my doctor, not with a nurse. They were pushing me toward the nurse all the time. They called today, cancelled the appointment for March 31, 2025, and told me that dr. Martin has no availability in 2025. What? Really? Next, they scheduled me with the nurse, at a different location. At one point I just told the person who called me: "Yes, whatever. Obviously, it doesn't matter what I would want."

Let's be honest, no woman on the face of this earth enjoys having her hoo-hoo prodded and probed…read more (that's what she said...) Somehow, the Center for Women at Mt. Auburn is able to turn this dreaded experience into a fairly positive one. My NP is Arlene Pressman and she is absolutely wonderful. She follows up after every test and provides a level of service that I've never experienced elsewhere. Due to insurance issues, I needed to have a test done outside of the Mt. Auburn system. As expected with anything related to insurance, it was a very cumbersome ordeal and any other provider would have given up, but Arlene went above and beyond in coordinating the entire process. I have worked in hospital administration for years and the quality of patient care here is praiseworthy.

Unfortunately, I was just told that Dr. McKee, who is excellent, won't be able to see any patients for annual visits anymore. When I asked why, the scheduler said that the manager instructed them not to schedule any annual visits with the doctors in the practice anymore -- only the nurse practitioners or PAs. This is terrible for continuity of care. I should be able to see my doctor. I didn't schedule an appointment. Our medical system is so broken in the U.S.

Also, as Jenna M. states, they return calls, help in any possible way, have on-call doctors during off-hours for emergencies, can get you in for appts. without long waits, etc. I cannot say enough good things about Women's Health Center, and especially my two doctors.
