Came in with my mom on a whim to get some info on selling some property we have in McNeil Canyon.. The woman we spoke to was the most unenthusiastic agent I have ever spoke to.. Totally not interested in helping us sell our 140 acres.. Guess the real estate market is so good this is too much work for a smaller commission .. We won't ever use or recommend this agency again.. I stumbled upon an old Chelan Realty sign on some property adjacent to one I was interested in and called CR. I was told it was active and was later told the listing price. I found out AFTER I made an offer that it had been expired for years and the list price was much higher than I was told. My offer was very "low ball" based on that information, and I don't even know if they contacted the seller, since I never received any written correspondence. Very unprofessional. No follow through. If there was a way to give an eighth of a star that is what I would give them. We just sold our property through them...barely. It was obvious from the very beginning all the agent was interested in was getting the listing and not actually having to do any work. My first phone conversation with Steve Wilson went fine, he said he was going to go by and have a look at our place and run some comps then when we got back from our upcoming trip to Mexico we could set up a time to meet. Days later, when we are in Mexico, he e-mails us asking if we were going to be around this weekend. Was he not listening? When we did meet a couple of weeks later he came out to our place and admitted he had not ever been there just ran some comps. What??? Okay fine. Then turns out he doesn't even have a camera to take any pictures, he asks us to take some and send them to him. He sits down and goes quickly through the paperwork asking very few questions of us all the while talking a lot about himself. After he leaves we realize he has not taken our key with him and has left his glasses on the table. So many red flags. A few days later as we are reading through all the paperwork that he whipped through with us we see he had already filled in the listing duration for 1 year! We figured it would sell with in months so at that point did not make an issue of that, however after talking with a real estate friend of ours in the Seattle area, he said that was completely wrong of him and should have been discussed and filled in as we went through the paperwork just as with the listing price. Moving on, Steve said he would have the ad on right away, it did not show up until the following Friday at which time it showed up with so many mistakes it was laughable. We instantly sent an e-mail with a completely rewritten ad. That of course did not get changed until the following Friday and even then there were mistakes. How hard is it to cut and paste??? By the third week it finally showed up with only one mistake and we just let it go. Steve never showed our property, not once. When e-mailed and asked about it he would say 'no one showed it'. Really? Was he even trying to sell it? We ended up dropping the price, however that did not seem to make him any more interested in actually trying to sell it. Finally we were told there was an interested party. Long story short, he made careless mistakes all during the selling part as well. Spelling errors, addresses wrong, it was correction after correction and that doesn't even include him not getting some paperwork where it needed to go for the buyer's Bank. WE DID IT and CC'd him. Imagine our surprise when we received an e-mail from him stating that he had now sent it in. He did not even realize he had been CC'd even when it was addressed to the loan officer. After all the papers have been signed at escrow and we are waiting on word that it has closed, wouldn't you know, my husband gets a call from him, there is another addendum. He got the zip code wrong and we need to initial yet another addendum before it can close. If you are looking for an agent to represent you for selling or buying in this area...do not use Chelan Realty!!!! read more

I was referred to and contacted Chelan Realty about listing a home for sale, I originally spoke with Jon and didn't get a warm greeting when calling "hello" I Had to ask if I called Chelan Realty..... After talking about the listing he said he'd have someone go out and look at the property and contact me that same day or the next. Not having heard from him I called back the next day around 4:30 and a again got a very cold greeting over the phone "hello" and I went on to say that I spoke with Jon the day before and THEN I was interrupted by the men, now yelling at me telling me to stop calling, that I have calling 14 times in days before and just 5 times in the last five minutes, Knowing that this obviously wasn't true, I'm thinking this must me a joke, this guy thinks I'm a telemarketer! I had to talk over the man and said several times "I'm a customer, I'm a customer" he then repeated the company name back to me off his caller ID and I said that clearly wasn't be and that I was inquiring about my potential listing. This man could have been Jon for all I know, he wasn't friendly the day before and this person wasn't friendly either. I think the guy then felt like a ass and probably just as uncomfortable as he had made me feel, and he just said "umm OK let me get you someone" never apologizing. By now I was so speechless and upset, almost in tears, I said "never mind, and hung up" This seems funny now, but I was a bit shaken up by this experience, I am still in disbelief that I was just treated that way. I will never contact them again and would never refer them to anyone just by their phone ethics. read more
