Very disappointing meal at Chef's Point. We have eaten there several times before and had wonderful meals. Tonight, not at all good. We ordered the ribeye which comes with a plop of garlic butter or blackened. My husband and I both ordered the ribeye with the plop of garlic butter, both medium rare. When the steaks arrived at our table, they were blackened and very well done. The blackened steaks were so well done, neither of us could cut or eat them. The manager came to the table to check on us and I asked him if that was what they called medium rare steak. He said no that they were overcooked and well done. I told him they were also blackened, which was not what we ordered. He took them back to the kitchen and told them to cook us two medium rare steaks. After waiting another 15 minutes to finally eat, 2 more steaks arrived with the plop of garlic butter, not blackened. We cut into the steaks, which were considerably less cooked but still not medium rare. Very tough steaks cooked medium. We ate half, because we were quite hungry, by this point, but very disappointed in the steaks. We had ordered another drink while waiting for our (second) steak to be cooked. The waiter forgot about us and the bartender brought a drink over to me and not my husband. My drink was the only one he ordered, the bartender said. We are very saddened by this meal tonight and the manager did nothing to compensate us for their obvious misstep with our meal. The very least he could have done was buy the drink we ordered while we waited for them to correct their error. We will never order the steak there again and may not return ever again. Too many great places to spend $125 for a descent meal to be that disappointed again! read more
