We "attempted" to cash here once, and after about 45 minutes, we were told that they couldnt/wouldnt cash it because they could not verify with bank. Okay.. no biggie.. I can understand... thank you and we will be back tomorrow. Tomorrow rolled around and we headed back with enough time time for them to call and verify. We wait again... another 45 minutes rolls around, and this time we are told that they can not cash it because of "suspicious activity" with the account. Really? and what account would that be? This is a BANK CERTIFIED CASHIERS check.. not a personal check assigned to someone. After them telling me this... I proceed to call both the 800 number for the issuing bank AND the branch itself (another 30 minutes)... get verifications that it IS valid.. names and numbers of whom I spoke with... and proceeded back in with this information. I was told at that point that it had already been rejected twice so they wouldn't do it again. Really? Then why the sam hail did you have us coming back? Are you only interested in doing the oh so profitable payday and title loans that those of us who want/need to cash checks don't deserve a little service? I took the very same check to a different store and was in and out in less time than it took me to even GET service here. And for those whom were curious as to why we didn't just go to our personal bank... it is because our nearest branch was on Luke Air Force Base which was about 80 miles from our home. We drive a very large pick up truck that gets maybe a whopping 10 mpg. The cost of us driving up there to deposit it and come back would have been as much or more than cashing here locally. We are not "illegals"... we are not "low income"... we are not criminals... We were 2 people trying to cash a legitimate item with certified funds that they seemed to show no interest at all in helping with. No problem.. you wont get our business again...and we will not refer a sole. We will refer them to Checkmate in Casa Grande instead!
