last time we got pizza there, 3/4 in the household spent a good deal of time fighting food poisoning..gave it two months, and now they're not honoring their deals. they won't offer a price to you over the phone, and you go from a $30 meal to a $55 meal- and for that, it's better to go to the mio pizza shop or g's. it's a micky mouse tactic being pushed by the new owner of the place. read more

Today I had the chance to check this place out and let me tell you I was impressed! Easy In and out, tons of parking, EVERYTHING you could need or want, including Rec fuel!! This definitely is a ONE stop shop! VERY clean and organized! More importantly for ME- (when I had stopped in), I was STARVING......no worries- they had an in store restaurant (The Pit Stop) and it was made to order. I had a farmers omelet with a sausage gravy, hash browns and toast (and it was enough to feed two people), ALL for just $6.79 and it was DELICIOUS! The cook even took the time to interact with me! Also, very important- they were fully staffed throughout their establishment and so friendly! I can't wait to get back there and try their lunch and dinner specials!!! Well kept secret perhaps known only to the local cowboys and farmers... they have a little restaurant in the back of this convenience store and they make fresh food! Making things from scratch. Just simple homestyle dishes like goulash and meat loaf, but made from scratch. Very nice. Broaster chicken and a full pizza menu round out the offerings. read more

It's a bit unusual which makes it an interesting place to stop to get some munchies or gas. The Checkered Flag is a combination gas station, party store, small restaurant, mini-market, and when the weather is warm an outdoor flea market that sells all kinds of flags. It's an OK place to buy lottery tickets and if they would have sold me a winning ticket so I could retire I would have given it a 5 star rating. ;) read more
