Friday August 21,2020 I went into an establishment to apply for a loan. When the company was done…read morewith my application it came back that I had a loan taken out at a Check n Go in Merrionette Park IL in 2008. The loan was never paid back. In 2008 I was TWELVE years old. The Merrionette Park location is now closed, so I was instructed to contact the location in Crestwood IL. When I contacted the location they informed me to fill out a form online and to call the complaint number. I did this. When I spoke to someone at 1800 complaint number he filled out a complaint and told me somebody would reach out in 24-48 hours. I never received a phone call. The Crestwood location asked me to file a police report and bring it in and they would rectify the situation. I did that and the situation is still not rectified. I called a different Check n Go location and they informed me they do not understand why the process is taking so long since I have done everything they have asked me to do. The other location also instructed me to keep calling and ask what is the hold up and explain why I need this rectified ASAP. I called today August 28,2020 for an update. Nobody seems to have any information regarding this situation. The worker that answered the phone today, told me the only thing she knew was my paperwork was sent to corporate, and it will probably be another week before somebody reaches back to me. That would make this a total of two weeks if that happens. She then tells me can you call me back? I have a customer seated in front of me. The customer service is TERRIBLE. The worker that also answered the phone today told me there is a direct line to corporate, however the past employees told me there was no direct line to corporate just the complaint number. I understand this incident did not occur at the Crestwood location, however seeing how the other location does not exist anymore I came here. This delay is holding me up from getting a loan. Which I have expressed that to them as well. I asked to speak to a district manager. I was told her name was Latasha and she would call me Wednesday August 26, 2020. I never received a phone call. I asked why the district manager never returned my called I was told because she has nothing to do with it and can not do anything about it. Well that's very unprofessional. As a woman with a bachelors in communication. I would never inform a customer something like that. I feel my situation is being treated poorly. I am getting the runaround. The fact I am going through all of this for something that happened 10 plus years ago is ridiculous. The fact somebody was able to take a loan out in a 12 year old name is ridiculous as well. I do not understand how something like that could even happen. Seeing how so much documentation is required to even take out a loan. Seems like negligence on the company's part. It is a lack of consideration that nobody calls back and all I want is this removed from my name so I go on. It is a pandemic happening right now and this is how they are handling people situations who are trying to take care of responsibilities.
