Just down the road from Westfield Chermside, Brazilian Goddess is in a little suburban cluster of shops with easy free parking. The ladies here do a relaxing zen massage or a targeted deep tissue massage. I may not be a fan of the name "Brazilian Goddess" but I'm a fan of the services they provide, and the zen massage I had was (as advertised) relaxing, and void of awkwardness. If it was more local for me, I'd definitely be a return customer. As it is, I'm considering trying some of their other services anyway. If you're in the area, I certainly recommend them.

Upon arrival I realised that the salon was in an old Queenslander home, possibly the house of the owner. I walked in and was happily surprised that it looks very professional inside. You are asked to take your shoes off and relax. I was more than happy to do so. Around the waiting area were random ribbons and plastic flower buds stuck to the wall. Looked a bit cheesy, but I didn't mind. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. The lady who gave me the massage treatment was a wonderful person. I almost feel a bit guilty with this review, but I have to be honest... The massage was not the best it lacked technique. The body scrub was mediocre- I was actually surprised that was it. The facial lasted only a few minutes, nice and soft but didn't live up to a good standard. The wrap, yeah- I wasn't even sure that was it. I was due to go in at 4:30pm, I wasn't worked on until 4:45pm. The treatment ended at 5:50pm. So it was almost like having a one hour treatment as opposed to the one and half hour I expected. Although I was given a $50 voucher towards my next treatment, I'm not in a hurry to book the next one with them- unfortunately.

Despite having a somewhat altogether awkward time at my first session a few months ago, I went back for the second one this evening - second chances, value for money, time for improvement, yada yada yada. Sadly, nothing had changed. Walking up the front stairs of what feels like a regular ol' house for a massage just feels exceptionally dodgy. If only they'd put some sort of semi-professional looking sign on their front fence, or something. Anything. I can confirm that the rest of the house is a residence, because when I asked to use the bathroom, I had to be escorted through the living area, kitchen and dining room to get there. Yet more discomfort! As Jen has said, the service itself is brief and subpar. When the "mask" was applied, it felt like it had been diluted too much, because it poured off my face and through my hair. On the drive home, I was still rubbing bits of the mask off my face. It was a dark (mud?) mask, so it wasn't particularly cool to have it still all through my hair and not properly cleaned off my face. Really glad I went through the Maccas drive-through on the way home. I'm with Jen; I won't be making the mistake of purchasing another voucher for My Miracle Touch. I still see vouchers on daily deals sites all the time, so I assume it's the main source of customer flow. Good luck to them, because they're nice people, but unfortunately the awkward and unprofessional experience outweighs the nice manner.

My favourite is the head, neck and shoulders massage... as a rule of thumb they charge about $1 per minute here, as do most of the new chinese massage joints opening up everywhere like a can of worms. Squiggly and you're not sure which ones' the good one. This one is definetely the good one and the shop is clean. They always get my knots out and know where my ailments are... and even found a few sensitive ticklish spots too on their excursion down my back. Embarassing! But not really. Seriously good massage, no frills, just great stuff.

My gift was for a 30 minute reflexology massage and 60 minute relaxation massage. 90 minute massage time turned in to 70 minutes. No reflexology massage AT ALL and missed 10 minutes of my massage because the masseuse needed to use the bathroom. When the experience was finished - there was no customer interaction with the staff, just 'It's over' A real shame because the previous massage business that operated from this site were excellent, with fantastic service and after service experience. I recommend Chi-Link when you need some quick massage / reflexology to work out a kink or a bit of pain. I do not recommend Chi-Link for relaxation massage. Chi-link serves up acupressure massage, which can (for me) teeter on the line between pleasure and pain as it lends itself to a firmer massage. (Do get them to apply accupressure to your ears - that is divine!!) However, do not be afraid to speak up to the therapists if it's too firm for your liking. There are 3 locations inside the Cherminator, so you've got a great chance to walk - up & be attended to immediately by friendly staff. The stalls are formed by curtains, so it's not the quietest experience you'll ever have, but then you're not expecting a day-spa, are you?

My husband had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Tim. He said it was the best massage he has ever had. It was executed perfectly and all his aches and pains were gone.
