RRG own a good amount of garages in the north west, including a Toyota and Peugeot dealership in Rochdale alone, this one in particular is for Skoda, and is one of 2 Skoda dealerships in RRG, alongside a branch in Bolton. This is quite a nice dealership, with a good range of cars from the Skoda range, with some award-winning models including the Superb, Flagship and Octavia being stocked here, with of course the new "65" plates. Gordon was very nice, and we had a chat about the RRG group in general as well as certain cars which would be right for me, I did like the Fabia, which was quite a nice car with a decent boot, and did have some very good add-ons, including metallic paint for around £500, and a sat-nav built in for around £250, which can be 2,3,4 times that with other manufacturers such as Nissan. The inside part is quite nice, and although not as modern as Nissan or Toyota in Rochdale for example, it is still nice and is being refurbished soon, to be finished for Christmas, to get it "All Skoda's up", to quote my salesman. They is an outside part too with a good number of parking, but most of the staff as well as newer, nicer cars do tend to be inside, and you do have to pass through here to take a look at the cars outside, with them all being locked, which is understandable, and is like that at all dealerships. I was disappointed not to see any "free-drink" making facilities, which the likes of BMW and Nissan do have, and they is a few other minor flaws like this. Overall, this is quite a nice dealerships with some good cars, and really helped to change my opinion of Skoda being an older, unpopular car to quite a nice, cool car which can be competitive on the market, and is definitely one of the garages worth checking out, while looking for a car in the area. I still feel 3 stars is a fair rating for Skoda, and hopefully I'll be back soon for a test-drive, and an updated review!

They have a good, simple business model where it makes financial sense for them to treat their customers properly. As a single woman, it was refreshing to be treated as an intelligent adult. There were a few minor issues with the car, which they fixed and had it MOT'd and valeted 2 days' later. The office staff arranged the tax, and I was set. Even after doing a lot of research, and being confident the model was reliable, I still had a niggling doubt about such a good deal being legit, but everyone there was upfront, friendly and helpful. Definitely avoid this garage…read more I had an ongoing intermittent fault with my car that happened at random times over a few months. I went to this garage and explained the fault in detail. I came back after 9 hours, I'd had no phone call or updates all day. I was told by the young man that greeted me that my 11 years old car was too old and he couldn't even get a quote for parts. I was surprised and taken aback and amazed that they hadn't even called to let me know. I started to ask if they might still try again to get the parts and was rudely and aggressively shouted at. The man then turned to walk away. I had to ask if I could have my key and without looking back he shouted over his shoulder, it's in the car. It was not in the car, and I had to come back in for it. I understand that not all faults can be repaired. But I did get this repaired elsewhere and it was less than an hour and an easy part to obtain. Even after a bad day there's no need to be rude to people who are in need of assistance and paying for your service.

Advisories from earlier tests were not identified on further tests, despite the work not being done, and work was recommended when not essential. How often do you compare the previous years certificate with the new one? The most serious problem was the missing of a ball joint issue which failed less than 4 months after testing despite almost £400 worth of work having been recommended/done. Fortunately it failed on a car park not a motorway but the vehicle had to be scrapped! Will not use again.

There were a few items on my car which needed work (no surprise, it's old), so they gave me a quote and ordered the parts. But then when I arrived they'd managed to actually repair some of the existing parts and didn't need to use the spares, so the overall cost actually ended up being significantly less than they had quoted - a very nice surprise. They were also incredibly apologetic for keeping me waiting, even though there was hardly any wait at all. The other big bonus - free RAC cover with your MOT which is excellent value!
