Came here twice. Firat night, lots of drinks and a couple of appetizers. Drinks are sweet and not too intoxicating. Queso fundido with chorizo was okay (the chorizo was delicious). The guacamole and chips were fresh and good.
Second night, the drinks were good but not too strong. The food was good and plentiful. Wife and sister-in-law had carne arrechera (carne asada made with flap meat). Flavored well and beans were well prepared. I had arrechera tips a la serrano, and this had all the promised heat and flavor. All of the above came with plenty of handmade tortillas.
Overall, this huge place was mostly empty even though the food and drinks were good.
Maybe the name is too close to Carlos and Charlies, but it has decent food, a funky attitude (ala Senor Frogs), and a decent price for tourists.
I would not make a special trip to Guadalajara for thos place, but it's not on my "never again" list. read more
