Love it or hate it, if you come to Mallow, you're probably going to end up at Chasers. It's a bit dank, a bit sticky, but the music can be pretty great sometimes. The bar staff are grand, not a huge selection but you'll find something.
The door staff have never been tough for me to deal with but I've seen them be a bit high and mighty to others. Still, the crowd is generally alright so maybe they're just doing their jobs.

Big and warm smoking area out the back, with a hatch to the bar which is handy. Bathrooms are extremely small in the place and can be dodgy and unclean-- the single standing sink in the ladies is usually covered in makeup spills and wads of wet toilet paper.
There's a shelf near the door that we all throw out jackets as there's no cloakroom as such, and I've never had a jacket go missing.
It's free to get in, and that's probably why we keep going back.
I don't hate it, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I love it! read more
