What I truly love is how friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful everyone is. I love how they remember me and make me feel like part of the "family". It is like the old show Cheers. I feel so welcome here. I really need to give a shout out to Jorge, Calvin, and Mackenzie! They care. They truly do. All 3 of these fabulous people have asked me about my recent car purchase. They have helped me out with cashiers checks, notary services, and they answer every question thoroughly. I always feel happy when I go here. There is an ATM outside. I prefer to go inside to handle my transactions.... because of the kindness. I strongly recommend OceanAir Federal Credit Union. Hubby and I wouldn't bank anywhere else.

After waiting a few days, Brenda did contact me, there was a phone line problem on her end. Brenda was kind, friendly, & caring. She was also willing and able to help me. We spent two days on the phone discussing the problem(s) I encountered, and Brenda Listened... She didn't treat me as if I was a liar (like the people in the branch did), Brenda believed me. Brenda explained to me Apple pay, which was the fraudulent method used on my account.... I still don't comprehend how Apple pay got my info, or even how they accepted it as none of it matched the fraudster's information... Brenda didn't brush me off or tell me to go to the police, nor did she tell me to go to the merchants (there were no transaction numbers).... What she did do was thoroughly inspect my account with me and go over transaction by transaction. Thanks to Brenda's EXCELLENT Customer Service everything has been resolved to my complete satisfaction. Thank-you Brenda, with all my gratitude for your kindness & willingness to be of service. Staff is not as friendly as years ago but I feel that is staff at all banks. Things have changed. I liked being remembered and chatting but not everyone does. Unfortunately, this most recent attempt to obtain a personal loan was one of the most difficult and frustrating experiences I've had with a financial institution. There appeared to be a significant lack of understanding regarding VCCU bylaws--specifically around co-signer eligibility. We were repeatedly told that a co-signer must be a personal family member and reside within the county in order to apply. This information was later proven to be incorrect. After escalating the matter ourselves by calling the 24-hour VCCU support line, we were clearly informed that there is no such requirement. The representatives we spoke with stated they had never heard of a VCCU loan requiring a co-signer to be a personal family member or to live in the county. Based on their guidance, we were able to successfully proceed with and obtain our loan--without any issue--using a co-signer who did not meet those alleged restrictions. It was embarrassing and frustrating to have to go above branch management to obtain accurate information and resolve something that should have been straightforward. I strongly recommend that upper management ensure staff at this location--particularly beyond branch manager Jessica--receive proper training and become fully informed on VCCU loan policies and bylaws. This situation warrants an internal review of how loan applications are being handled, as it raises concerns about how many other members may have been incorrectly turned away for the same reasons. At this time, I would not recommend using the River Park location for loan services. Members may be better served completing their applications online or by contacting VCCU directly through official support channels, where accurate information was readily available.

I received a letter on January 6th that if my account isn't in good standing in 30 days I could get…read moresent to collections. It was over drawn because I was sick with Covid and couldn't get into the bank to deposit money. Deposits over the phone were not working. Well by The time I received this letter on jan 8th my account was in Good standing with a positive balance. by Jan 8, 2022 The bank already put my account in collections, freezing my bill pay and I couldn't pay bills. The corporate office told me this happens very rarely and is very uncommon. ever since the Zelle scam they treat me very differently. Reminder I have had this bank for 8 years and also hold my business account here for the past 8+ years. :(

I think it, along with another high rise near by, ruins the scenery. Be that as it may, it is a bank and offers all the services the area people may be in need of. When you go in, you'll find no long lines which is nice. An ample parking lot surrounds the bank. The Staff is attentive and nice. What more can I say for now? It's a bank. There deposits can take days to hit accounts, they make it very hard to pay car payments via transfers from other banks and now the newest problem there credit card services have sunk to new lows. My husband and I have had a joint checking and credit card since we started there and I have NEVER had issues with my card in purchases. But after receiving our new cards our purchases all started being denied , they do not send an auto text like other companies asking if it's us ,they just deny, which means I have to call and sit on hold for god knows how long to get my purchase approved. this has now happened to us both at a restaurant, a hotel and a store. The most recent was a Ticketmaster purchase where the customer service rep said "we don't recognize Ticketmaster as a trusted company, I've never heard of it." YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD OF TICKETMASTER !? Ummm okay. They approved each of these purchases promising this wouldn't happen again. Well today I was on Ticketmaster and shocker denied again. But when I called this time I was told by the representative that I was going to need to have my husband call and give me permission to use my credit card. A card as I said before I have always had and never had issue with. Why in the WORLD in the year 2026 would I need permission from my husband to purchase something . I have great credit, make plenty and am a good customer. He said this is just the policy he couldn't explain and stated again that once my husband calls and grants me permission to purchase on Ticketmaster they would clear the sale . No!!!! Sexist! Misogynistic! I don't think so. I will now be paying off my card and we will no longer be taking any business to VCCU. This is 2026 not 1956 and I will not be spoken down to like that or treated like I'm lesser than my husband . SHAME ON YOU!
