This is a review of this branch only, not Chase in general. I usually go here once or twice a month to usual deposit, withdraw, or exchange money. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars is that the branch has really nice staff, the tellers and bankers are nice. The location is never busy (in my experience), the busiest I've seen was a 3-minute wait to see a teller. So why not 5 stars? Because I did have one bad experience that should've been one of the last things to happen at a bank. I deposited some money and not all of it was credited it to my account (it was cash to a checking account). I later found out that the teller had made a mistake and had inputted the incorrect amount and it was corrected and I was informed a couple of days later but that shouldn't have happened in the first place. read more

Please fix the after hours arm card reader. It's been broken for months now and this is the only chase atm in the area.

I don't know why this branch has such a low rating, I've always had a great experience here. People who work here are very friendly. If therr were any issues with my account I've always been able to come in and resolve them in person. They have different services available here from business banking to personal accounts and connect you with mortgage people if you need. This Branch was recently renovated and even looks good and modern now. read more

They were friendly and the branch manager was very helpful, even calling me the next day with an update on a deposit that was pending.

Incredibly impolite Bank manager. I came in to ask some questions and he answered with one word answers and seemed for me to want to leave and stop bothering him. Chase needs to hire better regional bank managers read more

I like this branch, I work nearby and whenever I need to visit my bank in person I come to this branch. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. They have people at this branch who can help you with a business loan, mortgage, and wealth management. They remodeled recently and it's a one beautiful Chase Bank location. read more

This Chase branch is conveniently located for me, I live and work in the area. Everybody at this branch is very nice and friendly. Management here changes pretty often but overall friendly neighborhood field remains the same. They provide all the necessary services here that you would expect from the local bank branch and are always knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I came to this branch several times and it's always been a positive experience. Everybody here is very nice and friendly, it does look like the management of the branch emphasizes customer service to their team members. From the tellers to the bankers, everyone here is always eager to help and that is wonderful because you don't see good customer service often nowadays. read more

Came in to open a savings account and I was told that there wasn't anyone there to help me. As a member trying to give the bank money, this was not a good look for the branch. I don't recommend going to this branch unless it's for a quick deposit or withdrawal. They were polite but not helpful. read more

This bank is near: 1) AT&T Park, 2) Safeway, 3) Caltrain Station and 4) UCSF Mission Bay Campus. I like the fact that this branch isn't always as busy and efficient service is really one thing consumers look for in a customer service environment. No long lines and I get my transaction taken care of immediately and efficiently. Customer service at some of the Chase Bank Branches I have been to has always been positive. I was in and out of here in 10 minutes. ATM's located right behind closed doors - I like it and those random trips to the ATM's are safer this way. This is one of the Chase Branches with ATM's behind closed doors. This bank gets the job done. Plain and simple. I've been here twice so far for deposits and withdrawals. It's located within reasonable distance from where I work and it's also right by AT&T Park and down the street from the SF Caltrain station. Unfortunately, they're not like other Chase banks that have the kiosks that allow you to speedily deposit money for both cash and checks. Here, you have to do it the old-fashioned way by filling out the form with your account number and whatnot. But for what they lack in terms of the kiosks they make up for in terms of the customer service. Thus far, my teller has been Merlinda and every transaction with her has been very pleasant and hassle-free. She always asks how my day is going with a smile on her face and she takes care of my transactions in a timely manner. Add that to the fact that it's relatively sizable, roomy bank and I'm a fan. Whenever I'm in the area and have any banking needs to take care of, I know where I'll go first. 5 stars all the way read more

Chase Bank - Stacks of greenbacks - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - San Francisco, California

I came here on the weekday to deposit a check around 2PM and there was no one in the bank. I saw 2 people at most working there. The guy immediately helped me and was very very very nice about it. So why the 2 star you say? Well here it goes... so I had to deposit a large sum on a check and apparently he can't do it because he needs someone else to do it and then he will override it. I was like umm okay that is fine I am not in a hurry luckily. He looked around and the other girl was gone... nowhere to be found... okay... He apologized and couldn't really leave too far and was semi-looking but we just really stood there for like 5 mins... I was bored and humming... I was contemplating if I should just ask for 10K in cash just to piss them off because I am giving them money and just doing a simple deposit. So I just stood there trying to see what's going on... Eventually the girl made an appearance.. and she was just like whatever... so she took over and he overrides the check and she finished helping me... completely different attitude... I think she kept messing up because that took another 5-10 mins. My quick trip to the bank for a simple deposit turned into my 30 minute wait and see if I get service or things done in a desolate bank! booo I really am thinking about going back to withdraw money just to mess with them a little. The only reason I go to that bank is because it's a minute walk away and I usually use the ATM. I am not a big fan of this bank because I feel like they don't really want you to go in with all the signs posted blatantly that they don't want you on the cell phone or wearing sunglasses... makes me feel a little unsafe and feel like I am being accused or watched closely... read more

I LOVE WaMu. I started my accounts online then made my minimum deposit of $1, with hardly any waiting! And my checking is FREE! Bank of America - I'm so done with you clowns! You're DEAD to me! read more

It's been a while since I have felt compelled to write a review but this place was so horrible I need to vent. I walked in to this branch this morning at 9am - needed a form notarized. A simple one page form requesting a replacement for a lost diploma. There were two chase employees inside and not a single other customer. I was told that they could not do it because the teller was the notary and the line would back up if she stopped to notarized my form. What line?! Could I come back anytime between 9 and 5? Hello! It was past 9 already - did I just need to walk out and back in? They then got extremely rude and combative with me. My husband and I have banked at chase for more than a decade and have premier plus accounts. Thanks to this atrocious customer service I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Fast and efficient service unlike some other branches I've been to. Not used it for much but for when we used it, good. read more

I moved out to San Francisco a year ago from Pittsburgh, PA where I banked with Citizen's Bank. I would go to a small branch north of the city where everybody knew me me and the sweet elderly receptionists would offer me candy as I left. When I moved my money to Bank of America, it was a jarring experience. Checks held for weeks; wire transfers lost; rude customer service; and fees for everything. I hate you BoA with all of me. Quickly, I switched to Washington Mutual, and I will never look back. WaMu now handles both my business and my personal accounts and the quality of service is excellent. Wire transfers arrive within hours (not days like BoA) and even on large checks, WaMu will lift the hold time from 10 days to 0 (BoA never let anything slide). I can highly recommend WaMu across the board. Even their loan officers are friendly and thorough and they are CHEAP! read more

Was great when it was WAMU, it was personable and friendly, low key and the checking was free. Now the staff is "mostly" phony, full of attitude and constantly trying to pitch credit cards and new accounts. Plus they now charge me a fee on my money, that they make interest on. Since the banks practically collapsed our economy, they have been merging together making the banking selection look like, internet providers, Phone companies, American Auto, health care... I'm switching to a credit Union till things change. Maybe a new company will seize on the lack of competition and offer a innovative way of banking. Like Jet Blue and Virgin Atlatic is in Air travel. Where's my free toaster? read more

This branch, while convenient to my workplace, is pretty poorly run. Today, for example, at approximately 1:45pm, the branch had exactly ONE teller working in the entire building. One? One?! I guess the message is clear: Do your banking at the ATM or be prepared to wait, wait, wait. What do all those banking fees pay for anyway? read more

I don't really think a review is necessary for a bank but these guys deserves it. I have been banking with Chase (former wamu) for many years. The branch is close to my house and their staff is always warm and friendly. They greet you with a smile whenever you want in. Another good thing is, there is barely a line here which makes life much easier. read more

They are fraudulent and will close accounts for no reason. Customer service is horrible. Bad business all around. I have reported them to the BBB. If you value your money do not bank here! read more

This branch had the best customer service. They greet you as soon as you walk in, they make sure you don't wait in line, they strive to provide the best possible service. This branch does not get very busy, so you can always take care if your banking needs fast. Unfortunately they change branch managers often here, but the emphasis on the customer service remains unchanged. read more

I no longer wanted to be a yelp virgin, so I needed one fine institution to start my career off right. No biggie that it's WaMu. I love wamu.com. I love that your physical layout is so human (and burglar) friendly. I love that I can check my accounts 24/7. I love that I have free checking! I love that you don't charge me incredulous dues for withdrawing funds. I love that you are a blue and gold kinda bank. I love your funny commercials. I love your DEBIT card. I love that your spokesman is my former African American studies professor's brother! love you i love you i love you! This is more of a joke review, but take that, Bank of America! (I loathe thee!) read more

Don't ever trust Chase! Due to Chase Bill Pay error, we ended up paying 10% property tax penalty. The sad news is Chase won't own up to its responsibility and Chase customer service is worst we've seen. The executive office at Chase concluded the error was because Chase mis-routed the check. Mistaken happens. That's ok. What's not ok is it took Chase more than six months to investigate since the incident occurred on Dec 4, 2018 and after speaking to nearly 50 agents, the refund is yet to be returned. Either Chase agents don't understand the issue, simply don't care or one agent will pass the ball to another, resulting in the repeating & lengthy investigation. As of today, May 24, 2019 the case is incorrectly closed. We'll continue to escalate until Chase listens to its customers and more importantly owns up to its responsibility. read more

The lines always go fast. Everyone is extremely friendly. And my teller once told me not to waste my money. Lol. So now I especially love this place. Oh, and the same woman always insists I take a lollypop when I go in. I love that teller. She always has a smile on her face :) read more

This is the friendliest Chase branch in SF. The entire staff, from tellers to managers and loan officers are friendly and always try to serve you fast understanding that people in this area are usually busy. The negative is that managers at this branch change often, but I guess that's the case at all banks. read more

My boy and favorite banker Mr. dela Rosa always has my back. Great customer service, greets me with a smile and helped me get a Disney Debit card (rock on Mickey, rock on). read more

The problem with this Chase branch is that they don't have regular management. They have been changing managers every year and there is no consistency in policies and employee management. I guess another factor is that the business at this branch tends to be slow, may be it's not as profitable for managers to stay put. But service here is good, they always polite and try hard for their customers. read more

People in this brach make things up. I was told to bring passport to open an account so I had to leave for another branch which simply asked my ID and another card with my name on it to open a new account for me! Waste of time going there. read more

Erica just saved my life. Came from out of town for a Giants game and left my purse at home. WHAT?!?!?! Erica was so helpful in getting me the money I needed to get home. We applied to chase for a heloc, it was a long process 3 months actually, some of the staff was accommodating and professional most were not. We dealt with Jason Willer. When we first applied the rep from Kansas or wherever they are based just stopped communicating with us and, we called and emailed, then without notice they closed the application without notice. Round 2 Jason W starts a new application for us, now keep in mind we have all of our accounts 11 in total, credit cards 3 business and loads of income. Jason W called on Friday and told us what we were approved 87k for a heloc for that he told us we needed to pay off our credit cards, ok no problem, including the business cards, woo really? ok so we paid them all down to zero, Almost 36k. Jason W called all the credit card companies the and confirmed zero balances, and this took a week and we could not use our cards at all during this time. Then Jason W calls back and tells us we are no longer approved for anything, they are offering us nothing because they overlooked a small loss on my tax return, for a rental property. Not only did we pay off credit cards that we didn't need to we could not use them for a week. I don't recommend chase for a home mortgage, they are not a good bank to do business with, I don't understand how anyone could be happy with that level of customer service. read more

Called, explained my question, and was told to hold. Was forwarded without being told I was going to get forwarded. The lady I was talking to now had no idea why I was forwarded to her. Explained my question once again. Was told someone would call me back since she didn't know the answer either. The next day I stopped in since no one called me back. Not a single customer was in there and all of the employees were chatting with each other. If there would have been any customers in there, I would have given the benefit of the doubt that they were too busy to call me back. Considering they didn't seem to care, I went with another bank. read more

If I could give them 1000 stars, I would! This place wins for customer service! From Marilou to the other branch staff (including the tall British-sounding gentleman) everyone is so, so friendly, professional, and efficient!
