My family and I were preparing to relocate, so upon the recommendation of a friend I signed up for…read morean account at Rogue Credit Union. I've always preferred credit unions over banks, as they tend to take better care of them members. I completed the process online, and shortly after signing up I got a call from the Brett Moyer the Assistant Branch Manager welcoming us to Rogue CU and he asked if we needed any assistance relocating to the area. I was very shocked because my prior bank/credit union had never reached out to me like this before. I took advantage of this unforeseen situation by asking him various questions about the area and Brett was more than helpful offering a lot of insight and advice. Fast forward a few months and I walked into the Roseburg branch for the first time. I was talking to a woman at the counter when I was contacted by Brett Moyer. He welcomed me to their branch and asked me how the move went. Needless to say I was shocked. I had a hard time believing that remembered me or the conversation we had a few months prior, but he absolutely did. I just wasn't accustom to such I high level of personal service where you're not treated like just another customer/ number. I asked Brett various questions related to IRA accounts, and CD's and various other services I was in the market for since they make my transition into Rogue CU so seamless. Needless to say I am very happy with my choice to join Rogue, and I would recommend them to anyone; all day long, and twice on Sunday's.

I just called customer service because I can't get into my online account. For some reason, when…read morethey call me with the access code, I hear dead silence. This has happened before. If they would send me an email, all would be well. Other businesses do this. The guy had to connect me to their "second tier" because I needed an exception, he said. The second tier guy, some young punk, said that the best he could do was to give me an access code today, and "hopefully" the phone system would work out its kinks. I said, was that the best you can do? Hopefully?! I've had to call these clowns three times in the past over phone issues. A couple of those times were on silent phone calls. Naturally, my righteous ire was raised when he said "hopefully." I told him that I didn't want to have to call again when their system probably wouldn't let me access my account. My voice was louder in intensity, and that must have ruffled the poor snowflake's feathers--I did not cuss at him, though--and he said, alright, since you can't be professional about this, I'm terminating this call. And he hung up on me. And of course, online banking issues cannot be handled at your branch office--you must call, wade through the menu, and be put on hold listening to their insipid music. So this is Umpqua Bank's idea of customer "service." I suggest that you find another bank to put your hard-earned money. These guys obviously couldn't care less.

What horrible customer service, I went to open a savings and checking account. The woman was very…read morerude and condescending. She told that I had to wait 15 minutes while she takes a break. What happened to customer service? I was going to put a huge amount of money in the account. But I will go somewhere else, I will not be treated this way as a customer.
