I type this review on my phone, waiting in line, after waiting 10 minutes already. And there are only two people in front of me. 5 workers (including one for the drive through, even there has been no one in the drive through since I've been here.) Poorly managed? I don't know what the deal is, but I've been less and less happy with this credit union, and am about ready to switch if the experience continues being this bad.

The first 6 months I would go to use my card at a store and it would get declined with plenty of money in the account which is so embarrassing when you have a cart full of food and a line behind you. They don't have anyone to talk to in the late afternoon so you're screwed if you get locked out of your account after hours...better hope you keep cash on you because you will not be able to talk to anyone about your money until 8am the next morning!! I was getting locked out of my account like twice per week and then I would have to go inside the bank where they would call and get my hold lifted and promise me it wouldn't happen again...first off that was a lie and to find out it was being locked for making to many deposits???? Small ones at that. I clean houses and I'm a waitress....so if you make cash daily DO NOT use this credit union. So tonight I got off work stopped at the ATM and did a cash deposit of 150 dollars, only to be told that my money has been "detained" and to call my bank tomorrow. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me! Mind you if I didn't have money in my pay pal or cashapp and I was out of gas then I would be sleeping at the gas station until the customer service department opened and was able to lift the hold on my account or to fix their mistake yet again!! By far the worst credit union in history. Not to mention their ATM's are broke 50% of the time. I've driven to the ATM to deposit money multiple times only to find a note on the screen saying the atm was down and to try back later. On a scale of 1 to 5 it would be in the negative for sure. Nothing about banking here has been convenient or helpful or even worth all the extra BS!! I have not one good thing to say about them. If anything it's stressful and inconvenient!! I swear Everytime a checkout at a store or pull up to an atm I'm so stressed out that it's not going to work and that I'm going to look like a pos in line with no money in their account. Basically long story short, they are not crediting me my $215 and I have to wait 10 business days to see if I even get MY money! I spoke with a supervisor and then a manager and no one was of any sort of help to me. The only positive note is a very nice woman at the Howell location who was advocating for me to get my money to the customer service workers. I WILL be closing my account once the dispute is settled. I have banked with Lake Trust for over 5 years and this is the most absurd thing.

They also treated me like a criminal when I went into the bank trying to get answers one teller telling me that she's still getting crap from her boss for taking that check while not making eye contact with me. I've been a loyal customer with them ever since they started. Never so much as an overdraft. So rude to me on the phone and in person... Clearly irritated that I'm trying to get answers about the money. I'm glad to be done with them and I've had other family members leave as well because of this.

The ATM positioning is a little awkward, but it's a credit union, not a multi-billion bank. They have the typical financial offerings, from, loans to financial advisors.
