Wells Fargo Bank

Wells Fargo Bank

How to ruin a 22 year business relationship…read more I've been a loyal Wells Fargo customer since 2003. I've used this branch for most of that time. The folks here have always been exceptionally nice to me and wonderfully helpful. This outstanding relationship has helped me influence 4 other small businesses owners and several friends I know to move their accounts to Wells Fargo. That's why it makes me so sad to write this review. While the folks at this branch have been fabulous, but the bank they work for has seriously breached my trust and confidence. Part of my job is making deposits and using the company's checking account to buy parts. On Wednesday afternoon I deposited 2 checks from customers into the business account as a part of my job through Wells Fargo's excellent mobile app. When I got home that evening I was called by Wells Fargo to tell me that those checks were suspicious and that they had blocked all deposits and withdrawals from my accounts until I brought the physical checks to my local branch. I was pretty upset that they had shut down all transactions as opposed to halting those two deposits. But it was about to get so very much worse. They had also closed my personal checking account, savings account, my side business account, and the account I use to help my elderly parents pay their bills. But that's not where it ended. They closed my father's personal checking account that he uses for things like groceries, medications, and household expenses. So first thing Thursday morning I brought the physical checks to my local branch where I've always been treated like visiting royalty. I presented the checks to the banker, Michelle, and explained my situation. She promptly called the mothership and followed their instructions to verify the authenticity of the checks. They were authentic. The mothership then contacted one of the customers who had written the checks and verified that they had indeed written the check. They were unable to contact the other customer so I had to call him and ask him to call Wells Fargo on my behalf to verify the check. He called them immediately (what a guy) and was told that he couldn't verify the check from his personal mobile phone. So he left the job site he was on and immediately went to his office to call them again from his company's landline (seriously, what a fantastic guy). They then told him that he'd have to get his bank to send them a statement verifying the check's authenticity. He immediately called his bank and insisted that they do so immediately and they did. I mean come on what an amazing guy. At 10:22am on Thursday the Wells Fargo prevention section told me I had satisfied their expectations and my accounts would be reinstated... in 24 to 48 hours. I'm writing this now on Friday night. After a full business day on Thursday and the full business day on Friday all of my accounts, the business account for the company I work for, and my father's personal accounts are still blocked. All the debit cards associated with those accounts have been cancelled. Several customers have had their auto repairs delayed because we can't buy parts. We were able to pay some of our employees with envelopes full of cash like drug dealers but several (including myself) are going without pay until this is resolved. No explanation has been offered for why after immediately closing all of those accounts it's taking so long to allow us access to our own money. Barring some extraordinarily conciliatory actions on Wells Fargo's part I will never be able to trust Wells Fargo with my money. I will actively work to discourage friends and family from using Wells Fargo for any financial services whatsoever. This should be used by business schools to as a step by step instruction in how to ruin a two decade long business relationship with a very loyal customer. If anyone at Wells Fargo would like to talk to me about this, Michelle at the 2978/1488 branch has my phone number. I promise I'll be polite.

Terrible customer service. Not enough employees and a person who seemed to be a supervisor or…read moresomething who was very rude. She ignored me and never spoke or made eye contact. I left without being helped. Only 2 people were notaries and neither were available. Was told I could make an appointment. I thought I could go in on my lunch break and get a document notarized. I guess those days are gone. It's as if they don't want customers to come in the bank. There used to be employees at every desk, today there was only 1 person at a desk. Maybe they don't need the staff because the lousy customer service has caused a significant decrease in business.

Bank of America Financial Center

This Bank of America location in Magnolia was not my first choice to visit seeing as the one on W…read more Davis in Conroe was considerably closer to the courthouse, being just a mere Uncle Rico's football toss across 45 from downtown Conroe rather than several exits away down 45 as this one is. Nevertheless, this is the Bank of America outpost you go to when you need to get stuff hashtag done and have a good experience getting said stuff done. Ryan Mayworn was the initial customer service bank person at this location who helped us. Ryan was amazing from start to finish. In my line of work I frequently have to deal with banks (mostly the Chase gold dome line) and I actually never had a noteworthy positive experience with anyone at any bank ever until I came across Ryan. He was compassionate, offered useful suggestions, and was highly effective getting estate things figured out across multiple accounts in one afternoon marathon sesh. So I have plenty of good things to say about Ryan who was my hidden gem for all things BOA related for about two weeks. Unfortunately BOA had already noticed Ryan putting in work and promoted him to the Merrill Lynch side of the business so he no longer works on the consumer banking stuff at this outpost as of mid-March. When you find someone so effective and absolutely pleasant you want them to stay in their job forever so you never need to deal with anyone else; but he definitely deserved a promotion so we can all be happy he got noticed and the Merrill Lynch side will definitely benefit. Emojis don't show up in yelp reviews so it's between me and the NSA how many heart-eyes emojis I just typed here. Ryan's replacement is Traci. She understood there were big shoes to fill in this role, and she has been just as nice to deal with as Ryan. This branch location hires well; the one on W. Davis could learn several things from this location. There are only three BOAs in this whole country area unless you want to head back into Houston proper or up into Huntsville for some "just cuz it is Tuesday" reason. The first location on W. Davis earned their dour one star yelp review. This was the second closest to downtown Conroe so I am glad I was able to get things done here and not need to continue driving additional exits down 45 to the third location. Take my five stars because no other bank experience has been in the same league.

If you want a Bank that actually cares about your business choose another bank. I came to the branch, and they were not willing to do the wire transfer, unless I have an appointment the next day. Waste of time dealing with them. I switched to a local credit union TDECU and Navy Federal and it's a much better experience!
