I went through drive-thru here. I have never actually been inside the bank, but the people in…read moredrive thru have always been friendly and helpful. Answer a quick question, perform a quick task. I usually just need a check cashed or a quick deposit. Nothing too over the top and they have been good about it all.

Wow, how does one begin a confusing, frustrating and cheap story like this? Usually situations such…read moreas mine involve alcohol , a bad date, and getting arrested- although non of these things happened I can honestly say I do feel like I've been robbed. I have been a Chase customer for over eight years and have never, ever had an issue with this specific branch until the beginning of this month. Had I known that November is national "I'm a moron" month I would've opted out for hibernation until 2014 hits. So, recently I got married and had received a number of checks mad out to both my husband and I. I have yet to change my last name , my husband does not have an account with Chase- so I went in before hand and asked what their policy is on cashing or depositing checks with both our names on it. I was told that we both needed to sign the back of each check (which makes sense), however due to my own ignorance; I didn't realize that signing the back of a check is similar to that of signing over your life savings. I had originally received two $300.00 checks from my immediate family members along with a few others. When I went to cash them & was given my money, I thought the amount should have been more. When I questioned the teller (Andrew and Andy...should be "A" for a**hole!) , he assured me that I was wrong & that I had only provided him with one check in the amount of $300.00. I thought to myself that I probably misplaced it or accidentally lost it & went home to search. With no success & the concern that someone might have found my check & possibly cashed it, I emailed my family & explained that I knew for sure one of their checks was missing but wasn't sure which family member and requested they check their statements. I then learned that it was the check my parents wrote & had my mom place a stop payment on it. She then wrote me a new check for the same amount. I was just about to go back to the bank & cash it but received a not very informative letter in the mail with a photocopy of the original check. Stating that I was being fined a $12.00 cancellation fee & was only getting $200.00 of my $300.00! Naturally, I was like wtf! Where's the rest of my $88.00 & why am I being charged a cancellation fee? I went back the next day & the staff swore up & down that I never had two $300.00 checks & then had my mom write me another check for the same amount. When I went to the bank, they explained to me that I received a live check but could not figure out why the amount that was clearly written ($300.00) was different from that of which I received days ago. Apparently, know body understood this & I had to wait over 30 minutes to get a sketchy answer. Although Harold waived my $12.00 cancellation fee ; the only explanation he gave me was that the machine that reads the check misread the info and thought it was for $200.00 only. Now, I realize mistakes happen but what didn't make sense to me was that I used to be a teller & if something like this happened my drawer would have been short & I would've been written up. But whatever, the bank owes me another $100.00 is how I took it. I was mistaken & told that my mom owes me another $100.00 not Chase. This still didn't make sense to me nor her but I decided to give my parents both the checks back and waited for them to speak with their bank. My parents bank then charged them a $20.00 cancellation fee and said Chase screwed up & owes me $300.00. When my mom called & explained this we had both lost our patients. I then checked my statement online and saw that my checking account was missing $200.00!!! I didn't with drawl that money, I cashed my checks! Furious I went to the bank again (for the 4/5th time this week) & inquired. The smirk mouthed jerk teller who originally "helped" me was standing right next to the teller that was trying to assist me- he never once said 'I'm sorry, I screwed up and apologize for any inconvenience,"etc...nothing! I'll admit the female teller who was trying to explain this to me was so nice & I felt horrible because I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. I just couldn't wrap my head around all this. She informed me that because of the stop payment, my parents account was never touched & therefore no money was taken from them. I was debuted $200.00 because "Chase needed the money from somewhere & it would all wash out". So, I am now screwed out of $200.00 - thanks Chase for provided such great customer service!
