The drive up ATM is completely outdated and takes forever to function. The chip reader doesn't work I have been coming here for months and months, and every time I have to continually redeposit my check because the machine keeps kicking it out. I watch the same exact thing happen to the people in front of me in line, and we are all fed up. Perhaps an upgrade is in order at this time. read more

WORST BANK EVER! Do not bank with CHASE! They will take your money and refuse to give it back. Then they will throw you out of the bank if you mention the word lawyer! I was a victim of fraud and Chase aided and abetted the perpetrator and refused to help the victim. They are pure eviil! read more

Being the closest branch in proximity to my office, I come here when I need cash quick. Just one block from the freeway exit or entrance, it's very convenient. Tellers are friendly and there's ample parking. They've started rolling out electronic tellers inside, which is awkward. If I were a teller I'd be worried about being replaced by one of them soon. read more

Unless you want your money to be held hostage, then Chase is the place for you. Mind you, I banked here ever since it was Washington Mutual. So, yeah...it's been a while. I never really had issues with this bank until an incident really set it off. We were issued settlement checks from my old job. Unfortunately, the check dates were misprinted. I understand how places have policies and guidelines to follow, so I can't be entirely mad. Then again, it made me wonder how some of my old co-workers that banked with Chase were still able to either deposit or cash their checks out. I was given the run around. It took me multiple trips and phone calls, but they were never going to give me money that's rightfully mine, issued to me, what my old job almost forgot to pay me after my hard work, etc. Unlike all my former work peers who had it easy, I had to ask for a whole new check just so Chase can finally give me my money. Back when I banked with them, I noticed they mysteriously take about $12 off your account each month. Not only that, when you make a deposit, money's always pending. They always make you wait to get your money. Money that's rightfully yours that they never want you to have. Thank you, Chase, for making me look like I was going to steal my own money. Worst service ever if you're a busy person with a schedule. They don't adhere to their schedule and don't reach out to clients before rescheduling. They are disorganized and lost information collected the day prior. Nice looking bank, bad service. read more

I know Chase is a strong Bank, however I was really disappointed during a recent Transaction with them a few days back. I was going to my own Bank to make my afternoon deposit, I asked one of my employees to keep an eye on the phones for me while I was gone. When I told her I was going to the bank she looked at me disappointed and told me that her account was over-drawn and she wouldn't be able to get to her bank (Chase) because she had a Client that would keep her until after her bank closed, and she knew Chase would return her check and charge her an overdraft fee if the deposit wasn't made. I informed my employee that I would be more than happy to drop off her deposit for her on my way to my own bank. She ran and got me one of her deposit slip with her name, account number on it filled it out and handed me $70.00 in Cash to put in her account and was appreciative that I would do this favor for her. (hey we have to watch out for each other, right!) I went to Chase, stood in line behind 7 people and waited for my turn with the Teller. When I got to the window I handed her (the teller) my employees deposit slip and the $70.00 in cash to the Teller, her response was ( are you a signer on this account?) and my answer was, No I'm just making the deposit for one of my girls. The Teller then informed me that they could not except the cash unless I was a signer on the account. WHAT! a bank that doesn't take cash? I explained to the teller that my employee could not make it to the bank because of appointments and had asked me to drop off the deposit for her because she was going to be overdrawn if it didn't get in there that day. The Tellers response was yeah, I see that but, unfortunately we can't except cash unless your the signer on the account , sorry. Are you serious? it's only $70.00! I asked to talk with the Manager and then waited another 5 minutes for her to come to the window, when she arrived I explained the entire story to her and she gave me the same answer and informed me the policy was to protect their Clients from fraud. Again I informed the manager that the account was going to be over-drawn if the deposit wasn't made and my employee would incur a n overdraft fee if the deposit wasn't excepted. And asked her for an exception. (again it's only $70.00) Her response again was fraud, counterfeit, and to protect her clients account. Needless to say the deposit wasn't excepted, my employees account was charge an overdraft fee, her item was returned and a fee was incurred from the other bank, and my employee, while trying to be responsible suffered $50.00 in additional expense, because of a teller and a Bank Manager could not interpret a simple policy or situation and do what right! The loser in this situation was the person they claim they were trying to protect, Their Client! read more

just another chase. it is inside of the cvs plaza but they have a separate small building for atm drive through in the same plaza. which is quite confusing. at night at least. the plaza is almost pitch black at night. the only lights you get is probably from cvs. good luck if you're not familar with the area. read more

Went inside this Chase bank to cash a fully matured housing bond. Not exactly a normal transaction but Chase Manhattan is clearly listed on the bond as being the responsible entity for cashing this. I had previously called the bank twice and spoke to a "banking specialist" who told me to bring it in. Inside the teller informed me they wouldn't cash it and gave me a phone # to the federal reserve. I insisted they were responsible since the bank's name is listed on the bond as being the paying agent. I was given a seat and told to wait for a specialist. I waited 40' then the specialist gave me the same answer. For being completely unhelpful this Chase gets a one star. read more

I really like this Chase branch. The tellers are always professional, friendly and helpful. I enjoy doing business with them. There are other Chase branches in Escondido but this one is by far the best run operation. read more

Never had an issue at this bank. The drive through ATM is a little problematic. If you're not careful you could hit someone else. The branch is always clean. It's not as inviting when the tellers are behind 3inches of plexiglass. read more

Went into Chase with a $75 check to cash. They wanted a $6 fee because I did not have an account! The check was from a Chase Bank customer who has an account but that is not good enough, they still wanted to charge me $6! Outrageous! Join a Credit Union! read more

The worst customer service ever. The corporate office made a mistake cutting a insurance claim check on their own bank mind you, the insurance claims manager then overode the policy so that we can put our house back together finally. They called and spoke to the branch and gave them all the necessary information, we provided documentation of all repairs so far and we need to cash this check to pay other Contractors. After two hours in the branch they finally were going to do what their corporate division told them to do then because it is out of policy they say they can't do it. It was there mistake in the first place... unbelievable...pull your money if it's in Chase they are incompetent!!! read more
