$10 fee to cash a check for nonmembers but not for the "big corporations". I am giving this bank 2 stars strictly because the staff member was nice and pleasant. However, I hope to never have business with this bank again. I went into the branch because I was given a check by a friend and I wanted to get a rate sheet to can see if my money could do better with Chase. I approached the teller and gave them my check and id. Before I could ask for the rate sheet I was asked if I had an account. I told them I did not and I was told there was a $10 fee to cash it since I didn't have an account. Then the sales pitch started (remember I said they were nice and pleasant). I politely declined stating a bank that charges the little guy $10 but not "big corporations" is not a bank I want to be in business with. The teller then went to talk to the supervisor. I was then told that the supervisor said that I should take the check to my bank to cash. But if I had an account they could. I politely thanked her and left. Came in around 1:30pm to make a withdrawal and there was only two clerks and a long line . It took 15min to even move one step . I would of gave it 1 star but because of the clerk that helped me I gave it two more stars . Very slow bank overall . read more

Horrible experience with this branch after ID theft. Just trying to protect ourselves and out information and accts. A simple task that they failed at repeatedly. Simple instructions --- close acct associated with ID theft and open new safe acct and issue new ATM card. Repeatedly they were unable to accomplish this task. they also did not think that time was of an essence as they delayed out appts. multiple times. This review is for Chase bank in general, but particularly for this city. They waste THOUSANDS of pounds of paper every month on stupid little inserts that they market into EVERY single person's mail box. e.v.e.r.y. m.o.n.t.h. Like, as if being completely environmentally disrespectful isn't reason enough not to want to bank with them, I actually went in to speak to a branch manager about stopping the unsolicited marketing on my box (which is what it is), and the manager (or whomever i spoke to) was a complete buffoon and did nothing for me. I came to this bank in hopes of securing a HELOC two months ago. I was met by a gentlemen who advised me not to waste his time (multiple times) and the slogan "rubbing two nickels together" to try and squeeze money out of the bank. I should have walked out, but still wanted to hear the rates Chase has to offer. Which I never did as I was informed numerous times of a call back from an agent that never happened. I went to CoAmerica bank in Westlake. An agent spoke with me instantly. My HELOC was approved with in that week. I hope this helps your search for home loans. read more

This bank did nothing for my father who was scammed out of thousands of dollars, then sent the police to his house. This is his local branch. My 74-year-old father banks with Chase. He has me as a co-signer on his account as he has trouble with accessing the internet and needs assistance. He went into this branch to check his balance and found out that he was short several thousand dollars. My dad asked me to check his online transactions and balances, which I did. I found out that Chase had posted a $30 check for "$3,000" which is what triggered this whole event. Upon investigating further, I found out that he had been hit with charges from a phony car wash business based in PHILADELPHIA about 10 times a day, once a month, for the past year. They'd extract several hundred dollars a month, over a year totaling thousands. This never raised a red flag with Chase. I told my dad he needed to go in immediately to his branch -- I live in Texas so I couldn't go with him -- to rectify the situation. They fixed their error on the $30 check, then gave him a paltry sum for the Philadelphia-based scam artist. Rather than pursue the scammer, they sent a cop to my dad's house for "elder abuse," positing that I was scamming money from my own father. My dad was furious. He went into the branch where am employee named Justin effectively stonewalled him, played him like a fool, "Well, we did refund you some money," and that was it. My father is a Vietnam veteran; I have a master's degree and help him out how I can several states away. This is how Chase and the Camarillo branch treats its seniors and veterans. Went into the Ponderosa Chase location in Camarillo a few weeks ago to ask about a line of credit (that is a whole other boondoggle which ill post on another website). While I was in there I asked about my assigned advisor from one of the Ventura branches. I said I had tried her number and it wasn't working. The person I was talking to asked a co-worker to confirm that persons phone number, and they did, and it matched what I already had. Later that day I tried the number again to no avail, just kept ringing and ringing. So, I sent an email on Friday (2018-02-02) in the afternoon to the Sr. Home Lending Advisor (the person who helped me when I was there who confirmed her number) asking to confirm again or if there was someone else who could assist me. She responded and CC'd a couple of co-workers and asked them to assist me. No response and or no call. I email again on Monday the 5th and she informs me that one of the guys is out and the other is "tied up with clients". OK, interesting, that someone is tied up all day with "clients". In my mind I am thinking, "am I not a client"? Finally, its Wednesday the 7th and I still have not heard anything from them. So, I call an 800 number. They refer me to someone else in a branch in Ventura. So I call that person and they inform me that my original advisor has been out on leave for months (hence why her phone doesn't work/answer). Its unbelievable that between 3 employees they couldn't figure out that one of their coworkers from another branch in the county has been out for months and their phone doesn't work. And then, even worse, cant figure out how to respond to a customer who needs help in 3 business days and counting. Keep in mind here, not that it should matter, but I am not some nobody, I have existing loans, accounts and retirement funds with Chase AND I am a "Private Client". Sounds fancy but it doesn't mean anything. After reading the other reviews about Chase, and considering my own experience, I am not sure Chase is the bank I want to be with any more. They are the biggest bank in the US but I can tell you its not because of their customer service. I would advise you to follow my lead (and assets) and find a "local bank". Had a little issue with a deposit. Been with them since 1999. Went in today to chat with them about a hold placed on a check I made from my corp. to this acct., personal. They placed a hold on it for 14 days...Why? I asked. It's already cleared and was deducted from my corporate account 4 days ago. Their response "Because the check design (the actual look of the check) is different from the checks you've deposited previously." So, Chase has the money, gets to use the money but I have to wait. I told the account rep that I guess I'd move on to another bank considering this crazy situation. He couldn't of cared less. I left in a bit of shock. And just to be clear, I've never had a low balance, bounced a check, been late on any payment to Chase etc.... and yet, they made no effort to rectify the situation. read more

I have been to many Chase branches through out the US by far this one is the worse customer service. I waited my turned to get helped from a personal banker. He seemed to take his time and very helpful with the previous customer he was attending. When it came to my turn he was rude. First thing, he did not introduce himself (which I know in other branches they do!) Secondly he left me waiting for an approval or whatever, but he was clearly gossip with this other employee. And my last concern was that he did not returned my ID and my Debit card on the hand. He literally threw them. Worse customer service. Rest sure I will report!! read more
