I have been banking since the acquisition of Washington Mutual and have found that this has been one of the best banks I have been with. I was with two other large banks prior...Wells and BofA. Very rude employee. Complained and told I would get a call from the manager who was out for a week but have not heard from anyone yet. They need to retrain their clerks in Customer Service! This particular clerk was incredibly rude and condescending when I wanted to cash a check. There was absolutely no reason for her rudeness and attitude. Then she had the audacity to lie! I have witnessed this behavior toward other customers and it is apparently how they choose to treat their customers. I'm in the process of moving my accounts to another bank. Also, their lobby is not safe after hours. Too many people can enter and the time the machines take to perform the transactions is too long especially with your back to others. I had a scheduled appointment to talk to a teller (Sandra Lopez) about my CD. This is my first CD ever. She told me she was unsure why I came in about my CD when it matures 1/30/2026. I told her I wanted to move my funds back to my checking account. She's like well you'll have to pay for the fees. I told her I would like to know how to move it back into my checking without paying fees. She told me I have to make an appointment again to come in on 1/30/2026 to move it without fees or call customer services and they might be able to help. She was no help. I looked more into it on Chase's website, and there's a grace period when I can move my money but she did not tell me that. It appears she did not receive the correct training as she didn't report the 10 day grace period to me. read more

I had questionable charges on my business account. Busy, long wait. The rep didn't invite me into their office, wanted to see my transactions on my phone in the lobby, ok. Chase famously does not label transactions well, they are often cryptic. The transaction looked like a Chase fee but no way to know, no numbers, not clickable. The rep did not know what the fees were for, told me to call customer service. I had driven an hour. I asked if I could close accounts through the phone, she said no, I had to go to a teller. The rep could not help me with that either. The rep went back into their office to work on their computer, with a room full of people waiting. Another long wait for a teller. I closed 2 of our 5 accounts. We are switching to a Credit Union. A separate issue is that Chase Bank is grossly unethical. They continue to invest our money into massive fossil fuel operations. Chase Bank is the biggest trump/musk investor we could find. Find a locally owned CU and start to make the change. #bebetter. read more

I visit this location when visiting family. Staff can use improvement in reading their policies and quoting it correctly. The service is mediocre and the tellers are nonchalant. I am aware that Chase's new trend is to help customer by appointment only, and focus on making more calls instead of helping walk ins ( new priority) which is a bit silly to me, because a person took the time to come and be serviced. In my opinion this branch is convenient but not as helpful as they could possibly be. I will stick to the locations I frequently use. read more

This branch is like so many others where the ATM machines are down so they're providing a service that you can't even get. And then you can't even go inside using your debit card because that fob system doesn't work either. So the line is out into the street because there's only one ATM machine that we think is working because we don't even know if it's really working until you get up to the machine. With all the money that Chase makes and we know that banks make their money on fees should really do better. I never had this issue with any other Bank other than Chase. We walked in to open a checking account. We were met promptly and within a couple of minutes Kellie came out to help us. Kellie was so nice and helpful. She answered all our questions and was very patient. Then we went to the teller to make a deposit and had a very short wait. The teller was nice and the transaction done in seconds. My mom banks here and has always been helped quickly though I must say it's rare she needs help. I think this bank is wonderful and especially glad Kellie is there. read more

Wanted to set a savings account. I was told I had to wait TWO WEEKS to set an appointment with a banker, as they only have two bankers at this branch. Two weeks to set up a saving account is just unacceptable. I left disappointed. They get two stars because staff is friendly and the branch is clean. read more

My fiancé and i called and scheduled an appointment. When we arrived at our scheduled time at 3:30 a very rude unprofessional Kellie Bax began to complain and tell us she did not have enough time to complete our request (add me to his account). She continued to tell us what she could not do being part of the problem rather than presenting a solution. Her main concern was that her other appointment was going to be mad. As if no appointment in history ever goes beyond it time slot. As a customer how is that our problem that someone on the phone double booked her appointments. During her continued rant of what she could not do she should have been inputting all the information necessary. This is beyond poor service for a very well established banking institute such as Chase. As a result the entire transaction took a total of 24 minutes which at least 7 of those minutes were spent listening to Kellie complain about how she could not do that in the limited of time. It's was simple request that lasted a whole 24 minutes of Kellies paid time on the job. I didn't realize making such a request would be so inconvenient to a banking employee. Kellie failed to perform her job duties to meet customer satisfaction. I would hope that Chase would take the time to improve and coach Kellie Bax to provide a much better experience to its customers. read more

I have absolutely no idea how this branch has more than one star rating. Obviously we have learned to be a little bit more Patient than usual amid the coronavirus But this branch has been a nightmare for long before that. Typically I do my business in the Riverside Arlington branch. I normally take in about 150 checks to deposit every two weeks, this afternoon I was not in a position to go to the Riverside branch so I ended up here again. because of social distancing there was a wait to enter which I did not mind, but it was the service I received once I got in there that compelled me to finally write a review. Ashleigh has an absolutely terrible attitude. I could tell that she was already upset with her manager when she tried to leave to go to lunch and the manager explained to her that there were several people outside of the door waiting for service into please wait. Obviously I was the lucky customer that she got to serve next, her attitude was absolutely foul and instead of helping me she pushed me on to the service of her coworker, because she said her system froze. Interesting that her system froze and she was able to help the next customer within 25 seconds. Obviously she didn't want to deal with a deposit that only had about 45 checks. Unfortunately he was also obviously very new and it took him over 45 minutes to complete the deposit. Not until the very end did a manager seem Interested enough to come and help resolve the situation. We get it, the check machine sucks. I hear it every time I come to this branch. It's definitely time to invest in some new equipment, but most importantly it's time to invest in better employees. As A manager that works in customer service, Ashley would not have a job to come back to after lunch. She doesn't care about our customers, and obviously has no problem pushing her job on to someone else. read more

Wow MONICA the teller who serviced me today, I am a business banker with chase, and this is the absolute worst service experience I have ever came across. She is beyond rude first of all, second of all it's embarrassing that she's throwing the money & the currency strips at me so professional on chases end. Definitely will be reaching out to HR about this disgusting experience. They have a friendly facade but damn every single time I have to come here it takes WAY TOO long! Today, I stopped to deposit cash. I didn't have my ATM card (I don't use it regularly) but did have a deposit slip from my check book. No clue why they needed my ID to add money to my account or why the teller had to put cash into a machine to count... it was 2 $20s and a $10. Seriously has society really fallen so much that we can't count to $50?! Or if that's just how it's done for any amount, technology shouldn't slow business down! Took way too long! I like the bank itself but I HATE the drive thru ATM (which I use the most). It is awkwardly situated and I always feel like someone is gonna run up on me when I use it (maybe the Colton girl in me lol). The ATM is not against the main building wall... instead, it is on like a drive up island I want to say. It looks like they may put an ATM against the building itself which would be my preferred one to use. It is just odd how open and exposed this ATM is. Drives me nuts! read more

Two years ago I opened my account at your branch at 1690 E. 2nd Street Beaumont CA. I needed a Chase account because my wife works in Arizona and it's convenient for her to cash and deposit her paychecks. At the time the Beaumont branch was OK. On par with Wells Fargo and B of A. However about a year ago most of the teller windows were blocked and a new ATM machine was installed in the lobby. Now there's only one or two tellers available regardless the length of the line. What's ironic is you placed another employee by the line to assist with the ATM machine. This employee would be better for Chase and the customers if the employee were used to open another teller window. What's most astonishing is that top management either conceived or green-lighted the concept. Trust me on this: Nothing says "... to hell with the customers" more than making them stand in long lines. Personally because of this approach, Chase will never be my primary bank of choice. The US Bank across the street has ample teller windows open, and if there is a line, the manager or loan officers will pull customers from the line to transact their business, when they are free to do so. USB is the most customer-oriented bank I've ever seen. In fact, in ten years of banking at USB I've never seen more than three people in line. That's my opinion and there it is. It won't make a difference anyway. One thing I will say is I'm a US Bank loyalist and until Chase can come up to that level of service, my relationship with Chase will never be more than it is. As soon as my wife's job assignment is over, the account will be closed. read more

I opened a chase business account in march 2016, I also took the payment tech option to allow me to process credit cards . I was told it was a free sign up , free equipment and fees equal or better than square ! i used both chase and square for a couple of months , i noticed a fee on my account for $100 i also had a fee for $25 and the percentage taken out with paymentech was twice as high as square . i called paymentech merchant services and was told i was not doing enough business and the $25 was a monthly fee because of that , i was also informed that the $100 fee was a sign up fee ( which i had been told at the bank had been waived ) after 2 hours on the phone and threats of closing my account i was told the best they could do was refund $75 , i accepted that and closed the paymentech feature of my account . After a review of my account this month July 2017 i notice i have been charged every month $15 for payment tech , i called chase and was on to 3 people for over 2 hours and was basically told there is nothing we can do , i was informed if i went into the branch they would probably do a curtousy refund . i went to my local branch and signed in , i sat their for an hour , 1 teller came over after about 45 minutes and said its going to be a while 1 banker is going on break and the other already has a customer , i waited , when i finally got in to see a banker he ended up phoning paymentech who stated that the payementech feature had been cancelled a year ago , i was then told there is nothing they can do . I have been a loyal personal customer of chases for 19 years , i then requested all of my personal accounts be closed . There were no questions ! no what can we do to keep you ! nothing ! OK they said you are asking to close all accounts ? YES , ok accounts closed have a nice day . It would have cost Chase $150 to keep a loyal customer of 19 years for another 19 years. i am now with a credit union and never been happier . Big banks charge fees that they lie about and then tell you there is nothing they can do after they admit they are in the wrong . 8 hours of phone and branch time and no resolution to their mistake . This morning my husband went to get a new debit card because his chip isn't working. He signed in, sat down, and waited for 45 minutes. No one helped him. Then he noticed a lady greeted and helped other customer who came in after him. He decided to get in line. Then he saw a lady in front of him with a big bag of coins and decided to leave because he had to leave for work. Mind you he works in Los Angeles. Just terrible. I would never recommend this branch. I called Chase Bank at 7:17 am. I deposited a check via the telephone app on 4/15/2020. Online Chase shows that this check will be on hold until 4/24/2020. The person who wrote me the check stated that the check cleared their bank already. As of 9:06 am n 4/17/2020, I'm still on hold with Chase Banks Check Hold department trying to get the hold removed so that I can go and get my car repaired. This is horrible. They have never placed a hold on my checks before but due to COVID-19 they have decided to hold peoples money for not reason. This wasn't a stimulus check so why is my check being hold and I have to wait 1 hour and over 45 minutes to speak with something, I'm completely exhausted and probably going to close my account now because of this. I'm very disappointed in the service that I'm receiving. read more

Not a customer, just come in once a month to deposit rent check. Yes, they are verrrry slow, but the tellers are somewhat amicable. I dont like it when they ask you literally why you are there while you are standing in line in front of everyone. Im a private person and the world doesnt need to know I am paying my rent. A teller cum wanna be manager named Alex tried to push online banking services on me even though I told him I was just making a deposit for my rent and I wasnt a customer. HE LITERALLY GRILLED ME, even going so far to suggest I call my landlord who lives in another country to find out if he has online banking with chase. WHAT? Every time I tried to state that Im okay with coming in as I live near and only come in once a month, Alex would cut me off. It was like he wanted to strongarm and bully me into NOT COMING IN. I was extremely uncomfortable and weirded out. I just want to pay my rent, not be harrassed into trying a service I have no need for. A lot of seniors use this bank as well as there are two senior housing communities nearby, I can only imagine Alex bullying one of them.I tried to make a complaint online but you have to be a customer.....how convenient. I had considered switching to chase however their harassing customer service tactics left a bad taste. FYI Chase, teach your customer service reps to take social cues from their patrons. I live in Beaumont but my business is in LA and I always wait to do my banking at the Beaumont branch because of the great service they offer. The branch manager Jennifer Wilson understands my business and has developed a great relationship with the directors and employees. Tellers are always friendly and willing to help. I recently deposited a check at an LA branch through the ATM and it put 1 week hold on the check. Jennifer was on the phone for 30 minutes, fought on my behalf and cleared my check that same day which was amazing! read more

I tried taking cash out from the ATM machine and it gave me an error so I went to the teller Dawn. She said that machine was giving problems. I said "you might want to put a sign on it that it doesn't work." She said " oh it still works it just not dispersing cash" I then replied "ok, maybe you should make a sign that it's not dispersing cash, so clients can choose a different ATM machine" she replied "no need to put a sign, it works at times, and at times it doesn't work, it's just a hit or miss." Dawn could have acted like she cared, but all she did was defend the broken ATM. I was just suggesting what could be done so it doesn't happen to anyone else like it did to me. Three bank employees in an adjacent office never acknowledged my presence even though there were no customers other than myself in the bank. I waited and listened as they laughed and joked with each other as I waited. Eventually I got up crossed my name off the list and walked out. Nobody ever said a word. Very unprofessional. My account has been compromised and I was never notified I had to use my card and have it declined before I would find out. I call the bank I even go down there and know one could help me they just said that both my accounts had been frozen. They said I had to speak to a specific person in fraud today is the second day and know one has returned my call. Here it's Christmas time and I can't finish my shopping. If they had better security measures this would never happen. My sister went through the same thing and she is an executive at one of the largest companies in the USA it took 3 months to resolve her issue. As a consequence she went to BofA. After 10 or more years this is how they treat me. I'm done it's time to live off the grid. The banks serve no function for me. read more
