I had an excellent experience with Chase up until yesterday. The online access was extremely easy to sync my Sapphire card with my savings and checking. I went to pull funds out at the atm and it said my card was not activated.. weird. Then I tried to get gas and my card was declined. I then tried to log into the app to figure out what was going on. It said my account was restricted. I immediately called Chase to find out why the bank decided to restrict and close my accounts without notifying me. After speaking with a supervisor, they informed me that Chase reviewed my accounts and closed them - no reason provided. I am now out of all of my money until I can go to a branch to request it. The supervisor said the application section for your accounts has a disclosure section that states Chase has the right to terminate any relationship without cause or notice. This being said, make sure you read all the disclosure in life. I had no over draft fees, no fraud, etc. - just a plump savings and checking account. Now, all gone. So I get to update all of my auto pays and change my direct deposit (AGAIN!)
The service all representatives provided was wonderful, from the empathy and fight for my money, but ultimately Chase lost all business from me and I will make sure everyone knows how terrible it can be to randomly lose all of your money upon a corporate decision. Chase - I hope you read this to know how I am supporting myself and just lost all of money for this weekend. You are dead to me. read more
