The refrigerator was cooling about 50 degrees and the freezer was cooling about minus 10 degrees. Here is what the service tech said. "Found compressor going on and off and fan in refrigerator section not working well and damper not opening. Advised to look for another refrigerator." Also said that parts are not available. I got a 2nd opinion from another service tech from a different repair center. He advised me that he thought it was the refrigerator control. "Damper" is what the first service tech called it. I got online and ordered the part. I had the 2nd service tech replace it. It is working fine now! It was not the compressor or the fan in the refrigerator section. Only the refrigerator control. We are being forced to pay them $20/month for the last two months of our contract (even though I pointed out they didn't honor their end of the contract by not providing the local channels promised) AND we have to pay them $25 to send our equipment back! I was then put in touch with Adela who was almost impossible to understand due to a language barrier. Both had a lame excuse that their promotion had expired and they no longer offer promotions. Absolutely ridiculous. This is nothing less than a big corporation preying on elderly people on fixed incomes. Shame on you, Spectrum! I scheduled another appointment later in the week and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. Nobody came. I have internet TV and this is March madness weekend and I am a guy, so I feel like I am being tortured in the medieval ages as I cannot watch the games in the comfort of my own home.
