I have never written a bad review for anything on the internet in my life, I'm saying this so that you can begin to appreciate the severity in which I have chosen to hate this restaurant.
I have been in Spain for 17 days, I will be here for five more. I am 100% sure this will be the worst meal I will have in this country.
From the creaky door, that wails like the dead victims of the "restaurant" to the bathroom lights that turn off after a minute they don't detect you, this meal disappointed me top to bottom. When we arrived it appeared to us that the wait staff was disappointed to see us within 10 minutes of opening. We had overdone Calamari to start, not bad, but certainly not good. Next up we had baked cheese with blueberry sauce that clearly tasted like it came out of a can, it came with crackers that happen to be more brittle than the bones of a long-dead osteo-peratic corpse. Lastly, we had the steak... ohh the steak, my father had to send his back even though he ordered it medium. Mine was passably raw, despite the fact I ordered it medium, I ate it anyway, not spiced properly, just tasted like a meat slab, imagine dressing your meat in Soylent, and you have accurately captured the flavor of this meat. Meat that happened to be harvest from the same corpse of the crackers.
I would avoid this place at all costs, speaking of costs, this was also the most expensive place we visited, it cost us 147 euros, the food in Valencia besides this, was quite pleasing, to our Canadian palate. Avoid Charquito like the plague. read more
