Well I wonder no more now that I have visited. The staff are friendly, and there is a good menu of therapies, from traditional Chinese style massage to other therapies like hot stone massage and other more usual day-spa like treatments. I particularly like the Chinese style of massage, though it i not for everybody and if you are delicate you may want to choose a more gentle and relaxing style, either way you can tell them how strong you want your massage. What I like about the Chinese style is that they really get in between each vertebrae to release tension in your back. It does hurt, but afterwards the release is so great that you don't really care. While the massage I received was very helpful for my sore back and legs, what I appreciated the most was that they don't use oil, so you don't end up feeling like that rosemary lamb sunday roast you last based in olive oil before cooking. They conduct their massage through your clothing or through a towel, so they get the fluidity of motion required without the oil. This works well in a shopping centre scenario where you don't want to feel greasy for the rest of the day, and give your car an unintended oil upholstery treatment on the way home, or find the steering wheel slip from your grasp as you career into oncoming lanes of traffic... well I do exaggerate, but you know what I am saying.

I have little experience with the other services that they offer, but I decided to have a few reiki sessions after I suffered a bit of an injury at martial arts training. I was impressed with the service, and time was given to explain the process to me and make sure I was comfortable with it. The practitioner and I had a good conversation while we were in the session, and I can see how people would be comfortable with the counselling. As for the reiki itself, well it worked as well as the previous sessions with my ex. You can call it nonsense or whatever you like, but I suggest having a few sessions to see what its all about. If you don't want to believe after that then that's fine.
