Extremely Disappointing Experience - Unprofessional Service…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Tina at Identity Salon was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share it. I paid $70 for a very simple haircut to even out my short, straight hair, but unfortunately, I received one of the worst haircuts of my life. Tina presented herself as an experienced stylist who specializes in correcting other stylists' mistakes, yet the quality of her work is below acceptable and fell far below my expectations. She made my hair very uneven with strands sticking out and when I pointed it out she said it needed more structure and layers. I did not have much of a choice at that point but it was not what I had asked her to do. She styled my hair and I could not see the damage that had been done until I got home an washed my hair. What made this experience even worse was her unprofessional behavior. I contacted her to let her know how appalled I was with the haircut. She repeatedly promised to refund my money but later changed her mind and refused. She also previously admitted that other customers had been dissatisfied with her services and had returned requesting corrections so to not shy away, but I had so little hair left and I could not trust her anymore. To make matters worse when I asked for accountability, Tina actually laughed at me rather than acknowledging my concerns or attempting to resolve the situation respectfully. A professional hairstylist should demonstrate skill, honesty, accountability, and respect for clients. Unfortunately, my experience reflected none of these qualities. This was not just about a bad haircut but also about the lack of professionalism and customer service that followed at this salon. Based on my experience, I strongly caution others before booking an appointment with Tina at Identity Salon. I would not recommend her services. I would save your hair, time and money for a more competent and professional stylist.

However, her behavior on my wedding day was completely unacceptable. Not only was she unprofessional, but three different people commented on how rude she was to them. One of my bridesmaids even refused to have her hair done by Miranda after interacting with her. My hair was falling out a few hours after it was done and hardly made it through my ceremony. Skin DImensions uses an airbrush tanning machine wielded by a trained esthetician which is much less scary than a giant machine hosing you down with Oompa Loompa juice. I could tell her my fears of orange hands/feet and how I just wanted a nice glow, not a full fake bake. I have never been this color in my life as I normally burn, peel, repeat so this was incredible for me! I was a soft light tan color that was even natural on my face and no orange hands!!
