Beware selling with this lady. She scammed me pricing 2 premium fake flowering trees in huge pots I paid $400 for each tree and $80 for each pot. She gave me $20. I would never trust this business and it looks like she hasn't changed since I last did business with her. Shame on the owner. I trusted you. read more

This place has some really neat finds! However, a lot of it feels inaccurately priced. A side table was priced at $150, and the exact table is available on Amazon for $40... Unfortunately a lot of the cool pieces are just really overpriced for what they are, considering there is always typical wear and tear that requires a paint touch up or sanding etc. If a pre-loved table is priced at $500 almost makes more sense to just buy it new so it's in perfect condition. Additionally, a lot of the more antique items just feel out-dated, and are honestly in really poor condition to be selling for such a high ask, and those items understandably don't sell, and end up in their bargain room for months. Way better consignment furniture spots in Louisville, I'd skip this one. read more

It's been awhile since I've returned to Charlotte's Web, which is tucked back onto Lyndon Lane. Masks are required and they've designated the entrance and exit with more signage and ropes. I also appreciate their famous bears by the doors being masked as well. The store had plenty of small decor and furniture to browse, including an entire area of love seats. Pictures are displayed around the full store. They have a small clearance area of things that are 70-90% off. The tags offer 3 prices and are based on the date. The longer the item sits, the cheaper it gets. I spotted a few interesting items but the price didn't match up with the condition of the item, and things that I did believe were more reasonable I didn't have a need for. My mind kept thinking that I'd prefer to buy new for slightly more, to not worry about the imperfections. (But I love yardsales!) I think I'm unable to appreciate the type of items at Charlotte's Web that others would have, especially when it comes to the small items. If you appreciate consignment shops and haven't been by, definitely make the trip to learn of it's holding an item on your wish list. read more

I always enjoy looking at the items they have for sale, but rarely end up buying anything. I think most items just don't fit my style. It's always worth taking a peak thought, since their inventory is always changing. The employees here seem nice. They have an excellent selection of high quality, durable furniture that matches (whole bedroom suits, for instance) and will look perfect in my home! It's just a pity that this place is so close to where I live, I spend too much time finding ways to spend money here. You could outfit an entire house tastefully, several times over, with the selection at Charlotte's Web. Every time I stop in, there is something that catches my eye and tugs at my purse-strings. Whether it's a small end table, a decorative serving dish, or a framed picture for the wall, I am always inspired by a visit here. I took her to shop about once a month. It is like going to a museum with Mama. I learned so much from shopping there. Prices are fair. I am 69, Mama passed away at 89 last September. Whoa! Lots of great finds here! At Charlotte's Web, you'll find all kinds of goodies. From couches, to mirrors, to chairs, to dinette sets, to decor, to candle holders, to lawn decorations, to cabinets, to coffee tables, and much much more. There is so much to see here. You could walk around for a while and still keep discovering new items. There is even a clearance section worth checking out- you might find a steal! The prices vary a lot. During my last visit, I was looking for a couch. I discovered that the couch prices ranged from $150-$1900. You'll have a lot of options to choose from! I recommend taking a full loop around before making your selection. You never know what might be tucked away somewhere among other items. Highly recommend. read more

I hate to give this review because I know more people will come to this great little secret place. Ever time I tell someone about them no one has heard of it. It's a true Jewel quality used furniture and a staff of help that makes shopping a pleasure. Charlotte's Web looks a lot like my great grandmother's house. It's not hip and their furniture is what I think of when I exclude anything mid-mod from the antique equation. However, it's one of the very few antique/second-hand stores in Louisville that actually sell furniture. I searched this whole city high and low for a basic used bookshelf. I went to 3 Goodwill's and every high-rated antiques shop/mall and all I found was knick-knacks. So if you find yourself in need of some furniture, you *might* find it here. I can't explain how disappointed I am with this store. They have a reputation of being this upscale consignment shop in St. Matthews. Let me just say, they aren't. They are completely unprofessional and rude. They make 50% of what your items sell for. But the moment something doesn't sell, they call you up and demand you remove your items from their floor immediately. What was upsetting to me, is all my items sold except one table. I contacted them while the table was out on the floor and said I don't think it's going to sell because they had it tucked away in the back of the store in a corner. I barely even found it when I went to look for it. So I don't know how a customer would see it either. So, no surprise, it didn't sell. They immediately started calling demanding the table be removed in less than a week. Well I don't have a truck and I work through the week so needed to make arrangements to pick up the table. They called again demanding it be picked up. I said I made arrangements and asked if someone from the store could help load the table to the truck. The lady on the phone said someone could help but only until 3:30. I told her I wouldn't be there until 4. She then stated they are closing at 4 that day. (which is not their normal closing hours). I asked why? She literally under her breath said "none of your business!" I mean I swear I feel like customer service has gone down the drain. They take their money and the moment you are hindering them from making more money they treat you so unprofessionally. If you are considering consignment, strongly consider going somewhere else. I found a desk I loved but I was afraid it wouldn't fit in my car. I found out that they offer deliveries. I talked to the guy at the front desk and he didn't seem interested in delivering it to my house that's not even a mile away. He told me to go rent a truck. I then inspect the desk and found out the legs could be unscrewed and then it could fit in my car. The guy at that desk passed this dinky took off to me to unscrew the legs myself while he got back to watching his game on the tv. 30 minutes later after unscrewing the legs I went up to pay for the desk. No one offered to help me move the desk to my car. read more

My review is based on customer service. I asked for information on a couch and the sales person replied "it's maroon". To which I explained that I was looking for a little more detailed information and she told me that it was "a consignment piece and she had no further information". I could plainly see the color and since they are a consignment furniture store I had no doubt that it was not a new piece. The service was condescending at best. Two of our friends from Missouri, my daughter of Vine Grove and I were shopping various resale shops in Louisville about 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Because we were in the neighborhood near Charlotte's Web, we decided to make one last stop at Charlottes. It was about 4:50 and the employees were gathered near the front of the store ready to leave. One informed us that the store closed at 5. No one asked if they could show us anything and one lady standing near me turned her head as if talking to someone grumpily said "We never get out of here on time". She suggested that one of the other employees go on and leave so she would not be late for church. I understand their concerns as I too worked 45 years in a business where I often got caught by a customer near closing time. However being rude is never acceptable. We were out the door by 5 so suck it up employees of Charlotte's Web and smile at all the customers walking thru your door. read more

I bought a very expensive table and chair set from Charlotte's Web. When putting it together it was missing 3 table top tiles, screws and rubber stoppers. I was able to replace all the missing items other than the missing tiles. I called Charlotte's web and informed them of the missing tiles. After talking to 2 different people, one being an owner who was about as helpful as a knot on a log, I was eventually able to talk to a gentleman named Jim. He was extremely helpful in the whole process. In my book Jim gets 5 stars. However it took 2 full weeks and several calls to the owners to get the missing tiles I had purchased. My opinion on Charlotte's Web - I have no intentions of buying anything from them again. I feel that the merchandise is overly expensive. However the majority of the staff was friendly and helpful. I was not impressed with the owners, they are ultimately the reason I will not be going back. To the owners, Jim was your saving grace, it would be in your best interest to take care of him, give him a raise and express your gratitude for his service. It's people like Jim that makes your business successful. read more

What a fab concept, cute, local shop for gently used furniture, arranged under one roof. Found a one of a kind piece, at a reasonable enough price, low enough to overlook a few scratches. My "good find" feelings were dashed when I watched the proprietor manhandle our "treasure" onto a cart. My boyfriend (who was driving the checkbook, and the car) was outside lining the wagon with mover's pads. Unnecessary, the man said. The piece was unceremoniously dumped onto the back bumper, as the cart skitterred across the lot about to bash into another customer's car. As I arrested the cart our new find was given an almighty shove, got caught on the latch, peeling back a section of the aluminum veneer. Unbelievable! Then the attitude! Take it or leave it! "It Happens" Careless? or "Could You Care...Less"??? My "new" Buffet, good used, now Abused. A fix attempted by an apologetic worker, whose professionalism was not echoed by the Owner:Full - price holds, or full refund and dump it back inside. No token discount for his mistake.
