I had a great experience here! I needed a last minute appointment and they were able to fit me in on a Saturday morning. Service was great and super friendly! read more

I really like this female-owned salon that is in the heart of downtown Erie. Megan is the best hairstylist. I have been a consistent customer for over 3 years which is a record for me. She knows what to do and is very efficient at it. The prices are reasonable They have a good selection of products if one is interested. read more

I had a poor experience at Charisma. My root touch-up did not match exactly the rest of my hair. My highlights were cut out after I asked not to touch them, as I couldn't get more partial highlights that day. The stylist took thinning shears and went through my whole short cut, making it really frizzy. (I didn't realize what she was doing at the time.) The profile was really unflattering, and it was much too expensive. I was there three hours, a long time. Just really pay attention and not talk while getting your hair done, and make sure you're getting what you came for. Ask BEFORE your service how much it will cost. A red flag I noticed later is that they do not post their prices online. I was shocked at how much I was charged. Do not recommend. read more

I have been coming to Charisma Salon for years. I had been on a long and frustrating journey to stylists and salons all around Erie and could not find somewhere I felt comfortable and consistently received good results, people I clicked with, or stylists that listened to what I wanted. That all changed when a friend recommended Charisma. I've have had many different stylists here over the years and they have all been wonderful. Everyone is very friendly, and most importantly, I always walk out with a cut and style that I love. They honestly make me feel beautiful. If you are frustrated with the service or results you've received, you should check this salon out. The prices are comparable to other local locations but the service sets them apart in all the best ways. PS - Krystin is amazing! read more

Love this place! Molly's my color-expert girl, but have never heard a negative thing from friends who receive services from other stylists. The atmosphere is chill, yet professional - they're expanding (to be completed in a few months) and the newly upgraded space looks like it will be beautiful and trendy - a definite asset to the downtown area. Highly recommend! read more

Charisma Salon is wonderful. I've only been twice this far and I've never been disappointed. No matter the stylist you get you'll be beyond pleased. They take the time to do a great job. The atmosphere is cheerful and relaxing. The pricing is fair and reasonable. I highly recommend Hannah for any hair cut & color you may need! read more

Megan rose did an amazing job laminating my eye brows. They were professional, Covid sensitive and have solid office policies. They are knowledgeable and friendly and very skilled. read more

A very good and knowledgeable hair salon, but I found the cost of a common traditional man's haircut to be expensive. If you don't mind the cost, you will get a good haircut, nothing extraordinary. My search continues in Erie for a good affordable haircutter. read more

I cannot express enough how amazing these girls are! I came in from out of town for a wedding and messaged them on a Thursday asking for 4 hair appointments for Saturday afternoon, not only did they call me back quickly saying they could do it but the girls stayed past closing to help us. At no point did we feel like we were being rushed out or anything despite how late it was! Needless to say our hair looked great, and we even got some great recommendations for food and drinks in the area. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Erie even if I don't have a wedding to go to! (I should also mention that my curls lasted not only through the wedding and the 7 hour drive home on Sunday but also a full day of work and a hot yoga class!!!) read more

do not go to this salon. they doubled the price that they quoted me over the phone, 2 days after i left the salon and put my hair up in a bun i noticed that the toner did not take to any of the hair underneath. when i call them and ask them if they would fix it, they told me i would have to pay again. i've never known a hair salon in my life that would not fix something that they did wrong and make the customer pay again to fix their mistake. read more

my stylist was nice, but my haircut left me crying all day

I've been to Charisma once so far upon the recommendation of a couple of friends. I was quite pleased and will definitely go back. Things I particularly liked: parking lot in the back, I did not have to wait long before I was helped, the place itself is clean and non-intimidating, price was very reasonable, and most importantly I liked my cut! I saw Kerry and she was great. read more

I called 45 minutes before I came in and got a really SUPERLATIVE, cute haircut by Krista. Really nice vibe in the salon, fantastic products--they smell great, a very good cup of coffee, SCALP massage! yes! Easy parking too. Good phone manners--what's not to love about this salon? They offer a full spectrum of other beauty services as well. People who work here are positive and they love what they do. It's efficiently run and personable. A great group of professionals! read more

I happened to stop by this place on the recommendation of a friend of mine. It's a great little shop, the people are friendly, and above all, my haircut was great. To top it all off, they have a frequent cut card for men, so you can earn a free haircut. read more

I am a huge foodie and who would've thunk my first review on Yelp would be for hair and not food! I got my haircut yesterday by Kerry and I do NOT recommend seeing Kerry for a cut. My "cheekbone" length bangs turned into blunt-above-the-eyebrow bangs that make it look like my 5 year-old nephew had run across my forehead with a pair of scissors. I called back the next day to talk to Kerry and she offered to re-cut it. Cutting my short hair again some more? No, thanks. Save yourself the $33 and go somewhere else. read more
