Cosy bistro is small borders village. Chapters is decorated with a mediterranean feel, lots of terracotta and wrought iron with candles and wooden floors. This gives the restaurant a warm feel. The menu is varied - local beef and fish, vegetarian options and seafood specials. There is usally a pasta dish on the menu, and steaks with choice of sauces. My husband ALWAYS has the Mexican stroganoff (he's a creature of habit..) All main courses include potatoes/veg so that you don't end up paying extra for a full meal Yummy desserts and excellent coffee. They do a midweek special menu of three courses for £17-£18 which is very good value. We have been going to Chapters for about 3 years and have never had a bad meal. The restaurant is very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so would suggest booking, but we have usually managed to get a table midweek at short notice (but not always!). read more
