Came to visit this afternoon not coming here in a long time. This location has changed so Much. I would not recommend it as I can on a Friday afternoon and they had no meat. All they were able was birria. Very disappointing to not be able to try there food as it use to be good before.

First time trying. ORDER: * Bean and cheese burrito = beans were waaay too salty. * Shrimp burrito = very mid as shrimps were fried not grilled, with not much else but lettuce and crema. * Pastor tacos = meat was mostly straight blackened burnt! * Asada tacos = the only food that was good

I have been here few times now. I really enjoyed their nachos. (Needed more cheese in my opinion). Chicken terrakiyi bowl was good. I also tried their carne asada burrito and it was delicious. They have melon drink here and it's so good. What I really love about this place is the variety of the menu. This place is kept clean and the staff is always friendly. . They also take tap (just in case you're like me and leave your cards at home or in another pair of pants).

This is a very small restaurant that is easy to drive past by without noticing. Which would be unfortunate, because the food is good! I ordered a chicken and ribs combo because (1) I think the restaurant has the word chicken in its name which bodes well for its chicken (disclaimer though, my Spanish knowledge makes Peggy Hill look like Gabriel Garcia Marquez) and (2) I was just kinda hungry hungry hippos for ribs. The chicken was pretty good. Had a mildly spicy, peppery sauce on top that was very flavorful, but it didn't feel too heavy or sweet. Very good because it also allowed me to delude myself into thinking I was not breaking my diet. For a place that doesn't advertise the ribs much, the ribs were actually incredibly good. They did not need much bbq sauce at all, as they were flavorful, rich, and "melty-in-mouthy". Which was probably the death knell to my diet, but only terminal smoothbrains like me can trick myself into thinking ribs can be diet food. Thus, I had extra bbq sauce. I then dipped potato wedges in them (or the ketchup, depending on my mood.) They were good wedges, hot, crispy, and potato-like. Not sure what else you can say about wedges after complimenting them for living up to the platonic ideal of "POTATO." I also got potato salad. Like all salads that aren't actually good for my body, I always like potato salad. However, this one went further by avoiding the "overly heavy" pitfall potato salad sometimes falls in. There were other sides I could have ordered, but in this house, we believe in potato supremacy, so I already forgot what they were. Only thing I really didn't love was the biscuit (thought it was a bit dry), but I don't like biscuits in general. Asking me to assess biscuits is like asking your grandparents to pick their favorite BTS member. Anyways, good portions, fast service, low priced, and overall great lunch. Hoping to eat here again!

We ordered carne asada Mulitas. They were made with tons of cheese and perfectly cooked carne asada on two thick freshly made corn tortillas. Deliciousness. Tge Quesobirria tacos were crispy and loaded with cheese and birria. Generous portions. I ordered a small Jamaica drink, also Deliciously light and refreshing. Saw this place on my social media. Give this place a try. Their presentation and good tasted delicious Had their birria quesadilla and 1 taco al pastor. The pastor was grilled and had a bit a crispy texture which I love!!!! Came with a dip sauce for the quesp birria. Will return for more. The cook took my order and even brought it to my table. His service was on point. Yhe place is small and bits those taco stand thst over charge and you never know if they are clean. No load music and just a TV with a menu. Very simple and yet inviting. read more

After enjoying the nostalgic memories of Happy Meal toys throughout the years in the McDonald's Museum, we stopped by Chapala for lunch. Restaurant was no frills and clean. The cashier was very friendly and attentive. We ordered 2 of Pastor, Lengua and Cabeza tacos. They gave us 2 Tacos Perron on the house, instead of the 20% off since we completed paying already before we remembered to show the offer. That was super nice of them! The corn tortillas were very fresh and flavorful. They are a bit thicker so are quite filling since each taco has two of them. The Pastor was well marinated and juicy. The Lengua and Cabeza were very tender and flavorful. The taco perron had carne asada, guacamole, beans and mozzarella cheese. The carne asada was perfectly grilled. Loved the addition of the guacamole and grilled mozzarella cheese but the beans were a bit too much and made the taco soggy. They also provided three different salsas. Our favorite was the spicy avocado based green salsa. It was super creamy and had a strong spicy kick. Will definitely be back when we visit San Bernardino again! Usually don't go to San Bernardino for obvious reasons but had to make stop out there and came across this place. The tacos of chicharon and lengua were so good! Also got a quesadilla de birria and the birra honestly was okay, it was kinda dry but I definitely would come back for those tacos. read more

The family and I enjoyed this location. First time here. Our overall family rating is 4 stars. Everything was delicious. Not pictured is a Al pastor taco, one of the best Al pastor tacos I've ever had. Everything in these pictures were flavored perfectly. My son who hates to try new things fell in love with the Gobernador. He could stop talking about it after I let him taste it. The quessabirria was delicious and hot, I should have let it cool off to get all the flavors, but I was hungry. The homemade tortillas and sauce all flowed. It wasn't an above average dish, but it didn't need to be. The mulita, a new style to me, I'm use to them all dolled up like my picture. 2nd time.. to try the ribs I wanted to see their consistency and more quality of their menu .. It was a World Cup game day, and she seemed to be responsible for an entire side of the restaurant by herself. The service delays felt more like a management and staffing issue than a reflection of her effort. We were seated at 6:04 PM, and our drink order wasn't taken until 6:32 PM. While I understand restaurants get busy, it seemed like management should have anticipated the increased demand and staffed accordingly. Unfortunately, there were several issues throughout our meal. The chips brought to the table tasted a bit rancid, and the napkins wrapped around our silverware appeared to have some kind of dried residue on them that looked like tamarind paste. I ordered the birria plate, and roughly 40% of the meat was fat, making much of the portion inedible. I also waited over 15 minutes for limes and never received the cilantro I requested. My husband ordered the carnitas plate and was surprised by the appearance of the meat--it was very pale and almost looked like chicken. He said it lacked flavor and was disappointing overall. My parents ordered the molcajete, which arrived without the shrimp that was supposed to be included. At that point, we knew it would likely take another 10-20 minutes to flag someone down, so they decided to just enjoy what was served. They actually said the flavor was quite good despite the missing ingredient. Overall, the experience was highly disappointing, especially considering the long waits and food quality issues. The order window is right out front, and the menu is simple and familiar: tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas, quesabirria. I ordered a little bit of almost everything: asada street tacos, a bean and cheese burrito, beans and rice, an asada mulita, an al pastor sope, and a quesabirria. Prices were reasonable, and I spent under $50 for the whole spread. Food came out in about 15 minutes and was packed neatly. The disappointment started once I got home. There was no salsa in the bags, which already put us at a disadvantage. Only then did I realize there's apparently a salsa bar inside along with a small seating area, something you don't see from the front order window. Had I known that, I would've grabbed what we needed before leaving. Then we opened the tacos and realized they came completely plain... no onion, no cilantro, nothing. Just tortillas and meat. Not exactly what I expected. Visually, everything else looked fine, so I was hoping the flavor would make up for it... but it didn't. Everything tasted bland, like the seasoning took the night off. The only thing I halfway enjoyed was the beans and rice, and my family felt the same way. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the crowds I always see, but everything tasted like tortillas, meat, and cheese... and not much else. I'll give them credit for fair pricing and quick service, but that's about it. I really wish the cashier had mentioned that the tacos come plain or pointed me toward the salsa setup. Overall, not the experience I expected, and not one I'd rush back for.

It's very childish to do a subpar job and then get upset and frustrated when you're called on it. An adult apologizes and pledges to not blow it again. Anyhow, I don't tolerate disrespectful people so I'm done. I won't spend another penny there.
