There is none of the clutter to lessen the shopping experience that you get in so many of the London vintage shops, giving the impression that each item has been hand picked for this store, rather than being a jumble sale that you have to wade through in hope of stumbling across a gem. I loved the women's bags and accessories, and happily left with some scarves for my collection. I expect that I will be back before my short stay in Lincoln is over. Definitely worth a visit!

I was drawn in by the accessories in the window. They had some cute stuff, nothing in my size and the accessories, while lovely, were not necessities on this particular trip. The clothing selection is a bit limited because there is no clutter and the racks aren't overflowing with clothing, but that's kind of what I like about it.

It's not overpriced, so you can get a nice party dress for little over a tenner or a t-shirt for £4. They also offer up and coming designers, which does tend to be a little more than the vintage offerings, but at least you'll be unique. Their Cheap Monday denim is also cheaper than Urban Outfitters at £28! They did a student event last month with 10% off, red bull and goody bags, so heres hoping they do some more!

When you walk up the stairs and see every single wall covered in the most magnificent old and modern tomes, you can't help but feel total and complete bliss. The selection of books in all floors is impeccable. It could take me or you days just browsing every shelf. I stumbled upon it on a visit to the Minster of York, the main attraction in town, but on a second visit the York Minster will be relegated to a secondary level of importance. Having all at once the atmosphere of a bookshop, a museum, and an interesting relative's even more interesting house, the building provides a tranquil haven to become absorbed by fiction and history. The History room is the loveliest, with an old desk and chair and battered old rug on the floorboards. A very old shop with multiple rooms and corridors jam packed with second hand books. I have found some real treasures here. There are a few bookshops in Lincoln but this is the best! Hours can be spent in here. Books start at 50p and they had to open another shop (an old chapel I think) across the road to accommodate all the books. With more than 60,000 titles, this is a book lover's paradise and they will also buy books if like me you have thousands anyway. It is a bit pointless me selling boxes of books to them because..what do I do? I look round and buy more books.
