You cannot see any scar where a removal has been made. Dr. Shook's is a highly skilled surgeon in this area and my Mom has never looked more beautiful! Dr. Andrews is responsible for locating and identifying the skin cancer and her care and understanding while maintaining a professional atmosphere is beyond any I have ever witnessed. We called for an appointment yesterday afternoon. By 3:45 P.M. today, my son had been seen, diagnosed, begun treatment, and was helping me decide where to have (a late) lunch. I can't close without a special, "Thank you!" to P.A. Susannah Andrews. All of my questions and concerns were addressed, and my son and I are greatly relieved.

A month later, without sending a bill or even giving me a chance to respond to an insurance adjustment, they simply charged my card again. When I questioned them, they claimed they 'don't send bills' and made the excuse that my card wasn't saved, but was simply 'there' to be used. It appears they store payment data and charge patients whenever they see fit without any transparency or prior notice.

I'm going to start off by saying, if I could give this place a "0" I would but that's not possible…read moretherefore I give them a "1"!!! First off, my appointment was for 1pm..when we got there there was a closed sign on the door and saying they would be back by 3pm. When I called, the person I spoke to said they were out to lunch and would be back at 1, my appointment time ‍ we sat in the lobby and waited for 20 minutes before they opened the door. When we walked in the woman behind the desk didn't even look up at me. I signed in and gave he my insurance and ID which was snatched out of my hand. She made copies gave them back and still not a word. After a while I was called back by a nurse with tissues in her hand blowing her nose and sounded very stuffy touching everything she also was very rude while asking questions. I went in to get a couple moles checked because I've had melanoma before. I was told I needed a biopsy on one of the moles but I did not stay to have it done. I will get a second opinion! Needless to say I will never go back to this place ever again!!! Their customer service is complete shit!!!!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!

I told her that spot has bothered me (itchy) for a long time, but the previous lady I saw didn't say anything about it. Dr Ali sent off a sample and it came back non-metastatic, but it was still cancer. She changed my next cosmetic appointment to a surgical one and got rid of it ASAP. She has answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, no matter how little they might seem, and is very honest about procedures letting me know that I might not be a good candidate for something rather than trying to make a "sale". I recommend her highly. The rest of the staff I have interacted with are also friendly, tolerant, and helpful all the time and I've been there at least half a dozen times since last year.

My fear was that I may have Melanoma but according to the specialists here they said that doesn't seem to be the case. I had a biopsy done and in two weeks I was asked to come back for the results. It's unfortunate that even after having a biopsy done they cannot tell me what exactly it is that I have. The specialist that helped me told me that the results that the lab test gave was a generic diagnosis because it can't exactly figure out what the problem is. She gave me her assumptions as to what it MIGHT be but its not 100%. I was prescribed a steroid drug to put on my face and hope for the better that it goes away. Wish I had a better answer but nope. I can say however that it was very easy to get an appointment even after being a new patient at this office. I was referred by Dr. Hitchins on Barker Cypress since they were booked out for over a month. I called this office and was able to get in the following day. My insurance is with UnitedHealthCare, I believe they only take the Choice Plus version. Both times that I have been here the waiting room is packed! Make sure you are on time to your appointment. Also, try to park in the parking lot if you can because the garage does charge a fee depending on how long you are there and this dermatology office will not validate your parking. Overall the staff is nice and the services are pretty quick.
